New Delhi. Japanese automobile companies – Honda and Nissan are going to launch their new models soon. Both the brands have already shared their plans and here is the list of SUVs of these companies coming in 2026.

Upcoming Japanese SUV – Honda Sub-4 Meter SUV
Honda is currently preparing to enter the sub-4 meter SUV segment. The company has announced that it will soon launch a new SUV to compete with Nexon, which is expected by next year. This new SUV will share its platform and many features with Honda Amaze. Talking about the design, a boxy design can be seen in it, which means it will not look like Amaze. Talking about the features, the same features as Amaze can be found in it, but some new features like big touchscreen, ventilated front seats, powered driver seat, sunroof, digital instrument cluster etc. can also be seen.

1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine
Talking about the engine, the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine can be given in it, although the company can tune it for better performance. Later, the option of factory fitted CNG kit may also come in it.

Nissan Tekton Nissan has also confirmed the launch of Tekton SUV next year. Nissan Techton will compete with SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara and Victoris, Toyota Highrider. The company has already shown the design of this SUV, which gives it a baby-patrol like look. However, the interiors have not been revealed yet. It is expected that it will get features like Duster SUV, like 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment, wireless connectivity, ventilated and powered seats, panoramic sunroof, ADAS, 360-degree camera etc.

1.3-litre turbo petrol
Talking about the engine, Duster engine options can also be found in it. It can be offered with 1.3-litre turbo petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol or 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.

Honda has recently showcased its 0 Alpha SUV, which may hit Indian roads in the second half of 2026. This model will be based on Elevate and will share many of its features. Battery pack between 55kWh to 75kWh
We have already shared some special features of this SUV. The new Honda is expected to get a battery pack between 55kWh and 75kWh (which will compete with SUVs like Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curve EV and Hyundai Creta EV), with the larger battery pack giving a range of around 450+ km in real life.

New Delhi. Renault and Nissan have announced a plan to launch 4 major SUVs in the Indian market, including two 5-seater SUVs (one from each brand) and their three-round variants. Third Ro's Renault Duster and Nissan's Duster variant are expected to come to the showroom in the first half of 2026. Both SUVs will get hybrid powertrain options about 6 to 12 months after the launch of their Ice-powered model.

Duster 7 seater

Renault Boreal, which is originally a 7-seater variant of Duster, is expected to come in 2027. NISSAN will also introduce a rebelted boreal with a completely different design language in the second half of 2027. Reno Duster
Next-generation Reno Duster will have a new design language of the brand and will introduce more upmarket interior than its predicer. The Reno will adopt a multi-Puratine strategy for the new model, which will have petrol, hybrid and CNG engine options. The SUV will be first introduced with 1.0L turbo or 1.3L turbo petrol engine options, while the hybrid version will come later.

Nissan SUV
Immediately after the new Duster, Nissan will launch a version of his SUV with a separate design language. However, it will share platform, powertrain, interior and features with its Reno cybbing. Spy images show that it will have a straight stance, re-designed bumper, major grill, 5-spoke alloy, roof spiiler, rectangular taillights and flat tailgate.

Interior

There is not much information about the interior of the new Nissan SUV, but, it is believed that this SUV will share layout, features list and safety kit with Reno Duster. There is not much information about features or safety kit in spy image, but the possibility of getting Adas suit is complete.

Nissan line up will include
The 7-seater version of the SUV will be included in the Nissan Line-up, and it will be based on the Reno Bigster which has been introduced to the international markets. However, Nissan India MD Saurabh Vatsa told Autocar India that its midsize SUV's 7-seat variant (coming in 2027) will not only be “plus-2 configuration”, but a very different SUV. Which will be engineered as a 7-seater.

CNG option will also be available
The upcoming Reno and Nissan Midsize SUVs are expected to share the powertrain options. Both SUVs will initially run with petrol, although which engine will be introduced, it is not confirmed yet.
