New Delhi. The official debut date of the new Nissan Tecton midsize SUV has been unveiled. It will be officially introduced on February 4, 2026. Although, its launch date has not been revealed yet, but it is expected that this model will be available for sale by June 2026. The Tekton will be based on the third generation Renault Duster, which will be launched on January 26, 2026. The new Nissan SUV will compete with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Maruti Grand Vitara and Victoris, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Toyota Highrider and Honda Elevate. Even before the launch of this car, a lot of buzz has been created in the market about it. Along with Tekton, Gravit is also being discussed a lot in the market.

Design Details
The design of the new Nissan SUV is inspired by the brand's globally popular flagship SUV – Nissan Patrol. It will have a large grill in its front which will have C-shaped design elements and character lines, along with connected LED headlamps.

However, Nissan India MD Saurabh Vatsa told Autocar India that its midsize SUV's 7-seat variant (coming in 2027) will not only be “plus-2 configuration”, but a very different SUV. CNG option will also be available
The upcoming Reno and Nissan Midsize SUVs are expected to share the powertrain options. Both SUVs will initially run with petrol, although which engine will be introduced, it is not confirmed yet.
