New Delhi. After Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai, now Mahindra & Mahindra has also decided to increase the prices of its vehicles. The company has announced that the prices of their entire range of SUVs (Sports Utility Vehicles) and CVs (Commercial Vehicles) will be increased by up to 3%.
Mahindra informed through exchange filing on Friday (December 6) that the increased prices will be applicable from the beginning of January 2025. The company said that this step has been taken due to inflation and continuous increase in commodity prices.
Premium brands have also announced price increase
Before Mahindra, many other automobile companies like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi have also announced to increase the prices of their vehicles. These companies have also cited increase in input cost and logistics expenses as the main reason for increasing the prices.
Pressure on customers' pockets will increase
These price increases, which will be implemented from January 2025, will not only affect budget vehicles, but customers of premium and luxury car segments will also have to face it. Due to the decision of major companies to increase the prices, purchasing of vehicles may become expensive in the coming days.
