New Delhi. The new model of Renault Duster is going to be launched in India next year. However, this model is already on sale abroad. The company is working on a 4×4 model of this popular SUV which will come with a mild hybrid powertrain. The spy shots of this car that have surfaced so far show that this car will be equipped with petrol hybrid as well as petrol-LPG powertrain.

Recently, a test mule of this car has been spotted on the outskirts of Spain. According to the information revealed so far, Duster will be launched in the market with 1.2-liter ECO-G engine, 48-volt MHEV technology and 4X4 gear. This engine has been combined with petrol-LPG technology, which will be seen in the upcoming production model. The petrol MHEV LPG powertrain is still being tested. The test mule seen in the spy shots has a side-mounted exit just in front of the left rear wheel, which will not be seen in the final production model.

Petrol-LPG Engine
This engine can run on petrol-LPG, which gives a power output of 150 HP. The car will be powered by a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The all-wheel-drive technology used in the car will work similar to the Jeep Avenger 4xe. This electric rear XL setup will also be used in Renault Bigster SUV.

3 powertrain options
Currently, the new Duster is being sold in the global market with three powertrain options. A 100hp 1.0-litre bi-fuel 3-cylinder engine, a 130hp 1.2-litre mild-hybrid and the top-spec 140hp 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid. Duster was a very popular SUV in India in its initial phase. With time, due to increased competition in the market, its popularity declined significantly. During this time, cars like Vitara Brezza, Creta, Nexon established their dominance in the market.

New Delhi. French automobile company Renault's sister brand Dacia has introduced the Soul of Dakar Edition of the new generation Duster. This is a show car, which the CEO of the company has expressed the possibility of introducing as a showroom model in the future. This SUV from Renault is expected to be launched in the Indian market in the second half of 2025.

The new Duster is based on the CMF-B platform, which has been jointly developed by Renault, Nissan and Dacia. The SUV has been designed keeping in mind its ruggedness and off-roading capabilities. The car includes Y-shaped LED headlights, vertical air inlets, new front bumper, square wheel arches and V-shaped taillights. Duster will now come with 5 and 7-seater options. Its length is 4340 mm and wheelbase is 2657 mm.

Interior and Features
The new Duster has a double-layer dashboard and 7 inch and 10.1 inch digital screen. The car will have premium features like wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control and Arcamis 3D sound system. For safety, the SUV will have advanced features like automatic emergency braking and ADAS.

Engine Options
The new Duster will have three engine options. This will include 1.3-litre turbo petrol (154bhp), 1.0-litre turbo petrol, and 1.2-litre hybrid petrol (170bhp, 200Nm) engines. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

price and competition
The new Renault Duster is expected to be priced around ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, it will compete with SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, Skoda Kushaq and Maruti Grand Vitara.

Renault Duster will return to the Indian market in its new avatar with modern features, hybrid engine and strong off-roading capabilities. It can prove to be a premium and powerful option in the SUV segment.
