2026 Renault Duster will be launched in India on January 26, will come with petrol engine and will compete with Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Kia Seltos. There will be a big change in features.

New Delhi. The third generation Renault Duster is all set to be launched in India next year on Republic Day i.e. 26 January 2026. Some changes may be made in the variants sold in India as per the market, but most of the design elements, features and components will remain the same as the global model. Initially this SUV will come only with petrol engine. Hybrid variants may be added to the lineup later. After launch, the new Renault Duster will compete with segment leader Hyundai Creta as well as Tata Sierra, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and other midsize SUVs.

Design
Compared to its previous model, the 2026 Renault Duster will see a more mature and developed design language. Headlamps and taillamps with Y-shaped elements, sporty bumpers, square wheel arches, raised body cladding and new diamond-cut alloy wheels will enhance its modern look. Like the global model, the Duster coming to India can get an approach angle of 31 degrees and a departure angle of 36 degrees.

Interior and Features
The new Renault Duster is likely to get a driver-oriented cabin layout. Although the official feature list has not been revealed yet, it is expected to have a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch color driver display, 6-speaker Arkamis audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charger, front, side and rear parking sensors, electric parking brake, 360-degree camera, hill hold assist, electronic stability control, three-point seatbelts for all seats, multiple airbags, Level 2 ADAS suits and much more can be found.

The new Renault Duster will be launched in 2026 and will become a large rival of Hyundai Creta. It will have petrol, hybrid, CNG and electric variants. The 7-seater Duster will come in the end of 2026 or in 2027.

New Delhi. Third Jane's Renault Duster is going to return as the biggest rival of Hyundai Creta. The SUV will be in the production phase by September 2025 and its market launch will be in the first half of 2026 or in the first quarter. The new Renault Duster Hybrid launch may also be launched in India; However, it will come within 12 months of the launch of the petrol variant. The 7-seater Duster known as Renault Boreal at the global level is expected to come on the roads in the end of 2026 or in 2027. Renault India has not officially announced the launch timeline of Duster Hybrid and 7-seater Duster SUVs.

The main features of the new Renault Duster will include many of its powertrains, including 1.5L natural aspirated petrol (for lower variants), 1.0L turbo or 1.3L turbo petrol (for mid and high trims) and a strong hybrid (only for high variants).

In global markets, the new Duster (sold as Dacia Duster) is introduced with 94bhp, 1.6L, 4-cylinder petrol engine with two electric motors and 1.2kwh battery packs. This configuration offers 140bhp joint power.

CNG and EV Options

Renault is also considering CNG fuel options for the new Duster. According to media reports, CNG can be introduced as retrofit saluation through Minda Westport. The company will also launch the new Renault Duster Electric in the market.

Challenge for Creta
