Renault Kwid completed 10 years in India, 10th Anniversary Edition was launched, only 550 units are available, new dual-tone color, safety upgrades and the same 1.0L petrol engine.

New Delhi. Renault Kwid, which was launched for the first time in 2015, has now completed 10 years in the Indian market. To celebrate this milestone, the French Automeker has introduced a special 10th anniversary edition of hatchback and updated in variant lineups. The Renault Kwid Special Edition is based on the Techno variant and the manual variant is priced at Rs 5.14 lakh and the AMT variant is priced at Rs 5.63 lakh. Only 550 units of this special edition will be sold across India.

Two dual-tone color options
Special Edition comes in two dual-tone color options-Black Roof with Fiery Red and Black Roof with new Shadow Grey. On the exterior, it has renault's signature grill yellow insert, glossy black flex wheels and doors and anniversary decals on C-pillar. The interior of the Renault Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition appears sporty with yellow-eccentric seat upholstery, themed infotainment surrounds, leather steering with mastard stitching and iconated scuff plates.

For the purpose of increasing safety, Renault now offers as 3 pointstebults standard for all seats, while Climber variants have 6 airbags. The new variant name RENAULT has named RXL variant as Evolution and RXT Tim named Techno, while Climber Trim remains unchanged.

3-Cylinder Natural Aspirated Petrol Engine
The same engine continues to use 1.0L, 3-cylinder natural aspirated petrol engine in 2025 Renault Kwid, which gives maximum power of 68bhp and torque of 91Nm. Transmission options are also like before-ie 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.

Although the launch of Kwid facelift is yet to be left, but it is expected that by Diwali the company can launch this strong SUV in the market.

Launched confirmed
Reno has confirmed that Duster will be launched in India, and its price will be announced in the coming months. The new generation duster has been seen during testing across the country, and some design updates have emerged in spy shots. This new offer will come with three-round.

Dhansu features

The main features of India-spec 2025 Reno Duster may include absolutely new exterior design, new dual-tone alloy wheel, new front and rear bumper, new Reno logo, LED DRL and tail lights, chunky skid plates, new grills, black roof rails and ORVMs, and duster letting on the tailgate.

Crea collision

Customers can take advantage of cash discounts of Rs 35,000 and exchange bonus. The Triber priced between Rs 6.29 lakh to Rs 9.40 lakh has a 72hp 1.0-liter petrol engine, which is available with both manual and AMT gearbox. Renault India has launched the updated Kwid hatchback in the country with a revised list of features, enhancing its appeal further and raising its competitiveness against the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10.

Renault India has launched the 2024 iteration of the Kwid hatchback in the country at a starting price of ₹4.69 lakh (ex-showroom) alongside its other siblings like Kiger and Triber. While the pricing of the updated Renault Kwid hatchback remains unchanged, the French auto giant has revised the feature list and introduced three new dual-tone exterior shades.

With the launch of the updated Kwid, the RXL(O) variant of the car now comes with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system making it the most affordable hatchback in India with this feature. Also, this variant of the Kwid now comes with an AMT gearbox, making it the most affordable automatic car in India. Renault has also made 14 safety features as standard for the Kwid hatchback.

Renault Kwid competes with rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, which has been one of the bestselling small hatchbacks in India for a long time. Here is a price and specification comparison between the new Kwid and Maruti Suzuki Alto K10.

2024 Renault Kwid vs Maruti Suzuki Alto K10: Price

The 2024 Renault Kwid is priced between ₹4.69 lakh and ₹6.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 hatchback is available between ₹3.99 lakh and ₹5.96 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The RXL(O) AMT variant of the Renault Kwid is priced at ₹5.44 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it the most affordable automatic car in India, while the closest competitor against it is the Maruti Suzuki Alto K120 VXI AGS, which is priced at ₹5.61 lakh (ex-showroom).

2024 Renault Kwid vs Maruti Suzuki Alto K10: Specification

The updated Renault Kwid remains the same as the previous model on the powertrain front. Under the hood, the 2024 Renault Kwid continues to draw power from a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, petrol engine that is capable of churning out 67 bhp peak power and 91 Nm of maximum torque. This engine is available with transmission choices of a five-speed manual and an AMT unit.

On the other hand, powering the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is a 1.0-litre K10C petrol engine. This engine is available with transmission options of a five-speed manual unit and an AMT, which the automaker calls Auto Gear Shift or AGS. The Alto K10 hatchback churns out 65 bhp peak power and 89 Nm of maximum torque.

The Alto K10 is available in both petrol-only and petrol-CNG fuel options, while the Renault Kwid has no CNG option. When it comes to power and torque output, the Kwid generates slightly more power and torque than the Alto K10.

Starting with the Renault Kwid, the MY2023 version gets a maximum discount of ₹50,000 including a cash discount of ₹20,000, an exchange benefit of ₹20,000 on select variants and an additional ₹10,000 cash discount for loyal customers. The hatchback also gets a corporate discount of up to ₹12,000, while rural buyers including farmers, sarpanch and Gram Panchayat members will get a ₹5,000 discount. The Kwid RXE variant and Urban Night Limited Edition only get loyalty and exchange benefits with no cash discounts available.

The Renault Kwid, Kiger and Triber get additional loyalty benefits for existing customers

The MY2023 Renault Triber also gets benefits up to ₹50,000 including a ₹20,000 cash discount on select variants, an exchange bonus of ₹20,000 and an additional ₹10,000 cash discount for loyal customers. Much like the Kwid, the Triber also gets a ₹12,000 corporate discount and a ₹5,000 cash discount for rural customers.

On the Renaut Kiger, the subcompact SUV gets maximum benefits of up to ₹65,000 including cash benefits up to ₹20,000 on the RXZ and ₹25,000 on the RXT and RXT (O) Turbo variants. The model also gets an exchange benefit of ₹20,000 in cash on select variants for loyal customers. The automaker will offer additional loyalty offers on submission of proofs by the customer. The Kiger RXE variant only gets loyalty benefits and no cash discount will be applicable. Similarly, the Kiger Urban Night Limited Edition gets only loyalty and exchange benefits.

Furthermore, the MY2023 Kiger gets a corporate discount of RS 12,000, while a rural of ₹5,000 is applicable for farmers, sarpanch and gram panchayat members. The automaker will also offer a ₹10,000 discount under the RELIVE scrappage program for users scrapping their old vehicles.

The aforementioned offers will vary depending on the dealership, region, colour, variant, and availability, among other factors. Over the last two days, several automakers including Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Hyundai, Mahindra, Toyota, Jeep, and Audi have announced supportive measures for their respective customers who have been affected by the cyclone. Now, Renault has joined the list as it has announced a comprehensive support initiative for its customers.

The car manufacturer in an official release has said that it is offering roadside assistance to help customers transport their vehicles to the nearest dealerships free of cost. The company also claimed that it would reimburse the towing costs incurred by customers who independently arranged for transporting their vehicles. Renault claims to have deployed an additional fleet of 15 towing trucks throughout Tamil Nadu to prioritise recovery of flood-affected vehicles. Also, it has set up a 24×7 helpline ensuring the customers prompt and efficient assistance.

Speaking about the measures taken, Sudhir Malhotra, Vice President of Sales Marketing at Renault India Private Limited (RIPL), said the automaker has pledged to provide robust support to its customers affected by the Chennai floods. “During these hard times, Renault India, in solidarity with other OEMs, provides robust support to our customers affected by the Chennai floods. Our all-encompassing initiatives, spanning proactive communication and hands-on assistance, underscore our unwavering commitment to offering 24/7 aid to our customers in Tamil Nadu. Renault India will continue to remain vigilant, continuously monitoring the situation and adjusting our efforts to address the changing needs of the community and our customers. We stand united in these challenging times,” he added.
