People are buying this 7-seater MPV in droves, know the price

There is a good demand for 7-seater cars in the Indian auto market. Big families look for new vehicles within this segment only. The same was seen in last month's sale also. In February 2026, 42,482 new vehicles were sold in this segment. This figure shows an impressive increase of 23 percent on an annual basis as compared to the total 34,556 units sold in February 2025.

If we look at last month's sales, Maruti Ertiga was the best selling car in the segment. At the same time, there has been a jump in the sales of Toyota Innova and Kia Carens. Apart from this, Maruti Invicto is at last number in the list. Let's take a look at the best selling cars in the segment.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

Maruti Ertiga is a table topper. Last month, this 7-seater car got a total of 17,807 new customers. This figure represents an impressive growth of 19.80 per cent year-on-year from a total of 14,668 units sold in February 2025 to 14,868 units. Its ex-showroom price starts at ₹ 8.80 lakh and goes up to ₹ 12.94 lakh for the top spec variant.

The design is modern, including a bold front grille and sleek LED lights. Spacious cabin, premium fabric/leatherette seats, 7-inch touchscreen, auto AC, cruise control, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, power windows, 6 airbags (top variants), ABS with EBD, ESP, rear camera and ISOFIX are part of its feature list. Its 1.5L petrol engine produces 103 PS power and 137 Nm torque. Customers can also buy it in CNG option with 5MT/6AT. Its mileage is 20.3-20.51 kmpl in petrol and 26.11 km/kg in CNG.

Toyota Innova

In terms of sales, Innova Highcross/Crysta is at second place. A total of 8703 units were sold last month. This figure shows a slight increase of 3 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 8449 units sold in February 2025.

Kia Carens Clavis

Kia Carens is at number three in the list. A total of 6815 units were sold last month. This figure shows an annual increase of 28.1 percent compared to the total 5318 units sold in February 2025.

Maruti Suzuki XL6

Maruti XL6 is at number four. Last month it got a total of 3633 new customers. This figure shows an annual increase of 93.5 percent compared to the total 1878 units sold in February 2025.

Toyota Rumion

Rumian has registered its name in the list of top-5 cars of the segment. A total of 2817 units were sold last month. This figure shows an annual increase of 34 percent compared to the total 2099 units sold in February 2025.

Apart from the top-5 cars of the segment mentioned above, last month in February 2026, 2419 units of Renault Triber, 145 units of Toyota Vellfire and only 143 units of Maruti Suzuki Invicto were sold.

At the same time, there was a huge increase in the sales of Renault Triber. Nissan has sold a total of 2502 units in January 2026.

This figure shows an annual increase of 4 percent compared to the total 2404 units sold in January 2025. At the same time, Renault has sold 3715 vehicles last month. Renault Triber

Renault Triber is at number one in the list. The country's cheapest 7-seater car got 2509 customers last month. This figure shows an impressive increase of 72.32 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 1456 units sold in January 2025. Renault Triber prices start at ₹5.76 lakh and go up to ₹8.60 lakh (ex-showroom).

Its design is attractive and family-oriented, which includes roof rails and LED tail lamps. The interior is spacious with modular seating. It can be bought with 625 liters of boot space, cooled center console features, 8-inch touchscreen, cruise control, auto headlamps and 6 airbags for safety, ESP, 4-star NCAP rating. Its 1.0-litre petrol engine produces 72 PS power and 96 Nm torque. Its claimed mileage is around 20 KMPL.

Nissan Magnet

Nissan Magnite is at second place in terms of sales. This affordable SUV got 2502 new customers last month. This figure shows a slight increase of 4 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 2404 units sold in January 2025. At the same time, X-Trail is not getting any customers for a long time.

Renault Kiger

Renault Kiger is at third place in terms of sales. It has got 703 new customers last month. This figure shows an annual decline of 6.89 percent compared to the total 755 units sold in January 2025.

Renault Kwid

Kwid sales have declined marginally. It got only 503 new customers last month. This figure shows an annual decline of 11.60 percent compared to the total 569 units sold in January 2025.

Starting with the Renault Kwid, the MY2023 version gets a maximum discount of 50,000 including a cash discount of 20,000, an exchange benefit of 20,000 on select variants and an additional 10,000 cash discount for loyal customers. The hatchback also gets a corporate discount of up to 12,000, while rural buyers including farmers, sarpanch and Gram Panchayat members will get a 5,000 discount. The Kwid RXE variant and Urban Night Limited Edition only get loyalty and exchange benefits with no cash discounts available.

The Renault Kwid, Kiger and Triber get additional loyalty benefits for existing customers

The MY2023 Renault Triber also gets benefits up to 50,000 including a 20,000 cash discount on select variants, an exchange bonus of 20,000 and an additional 10,000 cash discount for loyal customers. Much like the Kwid, the Triber also gets a 12,000 corporate discount and a 5,000 cash discount for rural customers.

On the Renaut Kiger, the subcompact SUV gets maximum benefits of up to 65,000 including cash benefits up to 20,000 on the RXZ and 25,000 on the RXT and RXT (O) Turbo variants. The model also gets an exchange benefit of 20,000 in cash on select variants for loyal customers. The automaker will offer additional loyalty offers on submission of proofs by the customer. The Kiger RXE variant only gets loyalty benefits and no cash discount will be applicable. Similarly, the Kiger Urban Night Limited Edition gets only loyalty and exchange benefits.

Furthermore, the MY2023 Kiger gets a corporate discount of RS 12,000, while a rural of 5,000 is applicable for farmers, sarpanch and gram panchayat members. The automaker will also offer a 10,000 discount under the RELIVE scrappage program for users scrapping their old vehicles.

The aforementioned offers will vary depending on the dealership, region, colour, variant, and availability, among other factors.
