Now cool airbag has arrived for bike too, this is the price, know whether you should buy it or not

New Delhi. Are you planning a long drive but have road fear, are you afraid of accidents? We all think so, but now a new solution has come! Now you can get an airbag for your bike for just Rs 32,400, which can save your life in case of an accident. NeoKavach has launched one of the most revolutionary riding gear in India, which can be very useful in case of an accident. It is a wearable airbag jacket that uses a tether-based mechanical trigger system attached to the motorcycle. When the rider meets with an accident and falls from the motorcycle, the tether is pulled and the airbag deploys. The best part is that this airbag can be reused. But is it really worth buying? Let's find out!

NeoKavach Airbag Launch
To reuse the airbag, you get removable cartridges filled with CO2, which inflate the airbag in case of an accident. There are two different sizes of CO2 cartridges: 60CC (Rs 2,000) and 100CC (Rs 2,500). These cartridges get a guarantee of 10 years and the product has no expiry date. NeoKavach airbag is available in 3 variants: Air Vest, Tech Pack Air and Tech Pack Pro. The basic Air Vest is priced at Rs 32,400, the Tech Pack Air is priced at Rs 36,000, and the Tech Pack Pro is priced at Rs 40,800.

cool features
This is not only for safety, but it also has many useful features. The top-spec variant, the Tech Pack Pro, is a wearable backpack with a CE Level 2 back protector, a hydration bladder, a built-in helmet holder, a waterproof cover and up to 23 liters of expandable storage. It can be said that NeoKavach air waste is a very useful product in terms of safety and convenience. But is it worth buying?

Should you buy?
If you want the added safety of an airbag, NeoKavach is a great option. However, the prices seem quite high. For example, buying an ECE 22.06 verified helmet, CE Level 2 certified riding pants and jacket, riding shoes and good quality gloves will cost around Rs 27,000, which is cheaper than even the most basic NeoKavach. And in our experience, all these riding gears work very well for the safety of the rider in an accident. So, should you really spend Rs 32,400 for the NeoKavach? Well, if you are buying NeoKavach as additional protection on top of your existing riding gear, then you can go for it.

the price is expensive
However, it is quite expensive and does the same job as the riding gear you already have. Also, if you are going to buy only this airbag and will not use any other riding gear, then it may not be the best decision. Another concern is that the tether is attached to the bike. Therefore, if the tether is incorrectly triggered, the airbag may not deploy. So, if you want to take the plunge and use NeoKavach as a secondary safety net, this is a great option.

The Steelbird Zozilla Z1 Riding Jacket comes in traditional black as its base color, while the reflective stripes come in two colors – silver and green. The Z1 has a silver stripe, which increases visibility in the dark. Aesthetically it looks basic without any frills. However, design is subjective. The jacket comes with dual external pockets and an internal pocket for storage, which is claimed to be waterproof. Steelbird claims it's crafted from high abrasion-resistant polyester mesh, which somehow makes the jacket a dirt magnet. It features a multi-fabric shell with 900D high-performance abrasion-resistant fabric and air-mesh. In short, the riding jacket looks good with its overall design.

The Steelbird Polyester Adventure A2 Gloves are made from 100 percent polyester air mesh. It has touch-screen sensitive pads on the thumb and index finger, which enhance usability. Steelbird Zozilla Z1 Riding Jacket and Polyester Adventure A2 Gloves Review: Comfort

The jacket feels heavy on the shoulders, but this somehow reassures about the protection level promised. If you are planning to use this jacket for regular riding during trips in and around the city, this could prove to be a good buy. However, on highways where the riding speed will be higher and the safety level should be higher, you can think of a better one. In fact, Steelbird themselves mention that the jacket is perfect for daily urban riding. The mesh claims to ensure optimum levels of airflow to enhance the comfort level during riding. However, we could not test it properly.

The Adventure A2 gloves have pre-curved fingers that enhance the rider's comfort level during long rides. While many riding gloves cause discomfort for riders, using these gloves, the comfortable and flexible protection for the fingers with soft palm padding and adjustable wrist cover made the experience quite comfortable.
