India is a price sensitive market. Therefore, Indian buyers always try to get better things at a low price. For this reason, the automakers try to offer more feature loaded cars at a low price, that too at a very low price. Now it seems that this strategy is working very well for Skoda in India.

Last year, Skoda launched a new Kalak in the country. With this model, the automaker entered the country. Soon after the launch, Skoda received tremendous response from buyers, making his entry in this segment successful. This response of buyers was not only on paper, but also showed a clear effect in the sales register.

Skoda has already announced that it has set new records in the country with his Kalak. Apart from this, the first half sales analysis also shows that the brand has registered more than 100 percent growth compared to the same time of last year.

Skoda has recorded a total of 36,194 units of sales in the first half of 2025, which is a growth of more than 136 percent on a year-on-year basis. Skoda has already said that it is only a Kyalak who is taking the brand to such heights. In addition, this growth has come when the rest of the autometers are facing difficulties in selling their models, and even India's auto sector is facing many challenges.

Skoda is the most economical product of the brand in the country. The current price of the model is between Rs 9.75 lakh to Rs 16.50 lakh in Mumbai. Talking about the features, the Skoda SUV includes a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats, sunroof, automatic headlamps and many other features. Apart from this, Skoda Kyalak has received a 5-star safety rating by BNCAP.
