Tata Ultraz has got a 5-star safety rating in India NCAP crash test, great security features and three engine options are available in all variants.
Dhansu features
Standard safety kits of updated ultroz include airbags, electronic stability control, ABS (anti-lock braking system) and three-point seatbelt for all passengers. Facilities like tire pressure monitoring system, blind spot monitor and 360-degree camera are reserved for high trims. In the Tata Ultraz Adult Passenger Safety Offset Deforceable Barrier Test, 2025 Tata Ultraz scored 15.55 out of 16. It provided the driver's head, neck, chest and legs 'good' safety, while the safety of the feet was considered 'appropriate'. The results showed 'good' for co-driver and 'appropriate' safety for right tibia.
In the Side Movable Deforble Barrier Test, Hachback scored 14.11 out of 16, with 'marginal' for the driver's chest and 'appropriate' safety for the stomach. However, the safety of head and pelvis was considered 'good'. In the side pole impact test, it provided 'good' safety to all body areas of the driver. The total score for Tata Ultraz Child Passenger Safety Dynamic, Child Restrain System (CRS) installation and vehicle evaluation scored 23.90 out of 24, 12 out of 12 and 9 out of 13. The dummy of 18-month and 3-year-old child, who was safe by ISOFIX anchories and support in rearward-facing in front passenger seat, was found completely safe.
3 engine option
2025 Tata Ultraz is currently available with three engine options – 86bhp, 1.2L petrol, 90bhp, 1.5L diesel and 74bhp, 1.2L CNG. The 5-speed manual gearbox is standard in all variants. A 5-speed AMT and 6-speed DCT automatic gearbox options are also available in the petrol version.
