Tata Motors made a record in booking of Sierra, in 2026 Tata will launch many models including Nexon, Sierra EV, Harrier, Safari Petrol, Punch facelift. Tata Nexon is currently counted among the most popular cars in India. Considering its popularity, the company can give it special upgrades so that more and more buyers can be attracted.

New Delhi. Tata Motors has adopted an aggressive product strategy for the Indian market. The new Sierra created a huge buzz even before its official price was announced and garnered over 70,000 bookings within 24 hours of the booking window opening. And this is just the beginning, as the native automaker has several new product launches planned for 2026, including the Sierra EV, Harrier and Safari petrol SUVs, Punch facelift and the new generation Nexon.

Tata's Project Garuda
The next generation Tata Nexon (codenamed Project 'Garuda') is expected to debut in late 2026 or early 2027. Official information will be revealed near its launch. At present, not much information has been revealed about the 2026 Tata Nexon but some details have definitely been revealed about this SUV.

New platform and design language
This time a big change will be seen in its architecture. The next generation Nexon will be based on a completely new platform, which may be a modified version of the existing X1 architecture. This platform supports many body styles and advanced technology. Big changes can be seen inside and outside also. The new 2026 Tata Nexon will come with the company's new design language and design elements can be taken from the company's latest models.

Will diesel engine be available or not?
There is likely not to be much change in the engine setup. The new 2026 Tata Nexon will get the existing 1.2 liter turbo petrol engine, which generates power of 120PS and torque of 170Nm. However, it is not clear whether the 1.5 liter diesel engine will be available in the next generation or not, as it may change due to the upcoming BS7 emission norms. CNG fuel option will remain available as before.

price increase decided
Considering the cosmetic changes, feature upgrades and mechanical improvements, the price of the new 2026 Tata Nexon may see a significant increase. The price of the current model starts from Rs 7.32 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.15 lakh (ex-showroom). Prices of the new Nexon can start from around Rs 8 lakh for the base variant and go up to Rs 17 lakh for the top variant.

Tata Motors will soon launch petrol variants of Tata Harrier and Safari, which will have Hyperion 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. These models will now be more competitive. The same Hyperion 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine achieved a mileage of 29.9 km per liter on the Indore track. Now the company is preparing to boost the set of Harrier and Safari on the basis of this engine.

New Delhi. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has planned many new launches in the coming times. Among these new products, the company is also going to introduce petrol variants, in which the most discussion is about petrol variants of Tata Harrier and Safari SUV. Till now both these models were available in the country only with diesel engines, in which both manual and automatic transmission options were available.

1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine
Tata Safari and Harrier can be given a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which the company has named 'Hyperion'. This engine was introduced for the first time at Auto Expo 2023. This engine can come with dual-clutch or torque converter automatic transmission. It is expected that this engine will give power of 170 HP and torque of 280 Nm. More information will be given on November 25 during the launch of Tata Sierra with this engine.

Power and Performance
Additionally, the launch of turbo petrol engines could further increase the competitiveness of these SUVs, as most rivals in this segment offer both petrol and diesel options. Also, this may also reduce the prices of both the SUVs. Currently, Harrier and Safari are available with a 2.0-litre diesel engine, which generates 167 hp power and 350 Nm peak torque. This engine comes with six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. Currently, the starting price of Safari is Rs 14.66 lakh (ex-showroom), while the price of Harrier starts at Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Harrier competes with models like the Jeep Compass and MG Hector in the Indian market, while the three-row Safari takes on SUVs like the Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Alcazar and Jeep Meridian. Tata Sierra recently achieved a mileage of 29.9kmpl on Entrax in Indore with its Hyperion engine. After which this car was discussed a lot in the market. Now this powerful mileage engine is going to be available in Safari and Harrier, which will give better options to the buyers. Tata Safari and Tata Harrier are already popular SUV models in their segment.
