Tata Sierra vs Hyundai Creta: Both Tata Sierra and Hyundai Creta are quite popular in the Indian market. Tata Sierra has been launched in a new avatar in 2026, which is giving tough competition to Creta with its iconic design and strong features. Ex-showroom prices for the Sierra start at ₹ 11.49 lakh for the base petrol variant (Smart Plus) and go up to ₹ 21.29 lakh for the top diesel automatic (Accomplished Plus). At the same time, the starting price of Hyundai Creta is ₹ 10.79 lakh for the base petrol (E) variant and goes up to ₹ 20.20 lakh for the top variant (King Knight Diesel AT DT). Design

The design of Tata Sierra is bold and modern, which reminds of the old Sierra. Its length is 4340 mm, width is 1841 mm and height is 1715 mm with wheelbase of 2730 mm. It has a connected LED light bar, textured grille, vertical fog lamps and alpine window design, which gives a floating roof effect.

At the same time, length of Creta is 4330 mm, width is 1790 mm and height is 1635 mm. It has a parametric grille, LED DRLs and shark-fin antenna, which gives a sleek look. Sierra looks more rugged due to being taller and wider, whereas Creta is more urban and stylish. Sierra also has better ground clearance, which makes it suitable for off-road.

Interior

The interior of the Sierra is premium, with a triple screen setup (10.5-inch instrument cluster, 12.3-inch infotainment and 12.3-inch passenger display). The seats are comfortable, with rear seats with two-step reclining and boot space of 622 litres. It has dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats and memory function.

Creta has dual 10.25 inch screens, good space but boot is only 433 litres. The interior of Creta gives a more bright and airy feel, but Sierra is ahead in space and tech. Both have rear AC vents and Type-C charger, but the Sierra's Boss Mode and adjustable thigh support make it a luxury.

Features

Both the cars are feature-rich. The Sierra comes with Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, 12-speaker JBL sound system (with soundbar), 18 JBL modes, Arcade Appstore, HypAR HUD, wireless charging, powered tailgate (with gestures), 360-degree camera, and iRA connected car tech.

Creta has Bose audio, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, ADAS and Blue Link connectivity. The Sierra's Snapdragon chip and 5G OTA updates make it more advanced, while the Creta offers a more user-friendly interface. Front parking sensors and an electronic parking brake are standard on the Sierra.

Engine and Mileage

Transmission options include MT, DCA and AT.
