Cheap Tesla cars
Tesla said that the company has started working on a more cheap model, which will be placed under the model 3 and model Y. The company revealed that the mass production of the new EV has been fixed for the second half of 2025. Tesla added that “early production” would begin in his “1h2025” time frame.
The company's initial planning was to make cheap EV on a new platform, but now this model 3 and model will use Y architecture. This is expected to be a stripped-down version that will features features. In case of size, the new EV model will be slightly smaller than Y. Testing of new cheap models has also started.
Musk expected to return
This is not the first time Tesla has announced that it will enter the cheap segment. According to Electrek, the company has also worked earlier on this plan, which was later canceled by Musk. It was popularly called “$ 25,000 Tesla” and was given NV91 and NV92 codenames. Tesla was working on a new platform, but Musk rejected it. Musk is confident that Tesla will return to the European market, as he hopes his self-driving autonomous technology.
