According to reports, this electric car can be launched in China in June or July next year. Xiaomi's YU7 will compete directly with the already existing Tesla Model Y in the Chinese market. However, the company has no plans to launch this car in the Indian market.

According to the Chief Marketing Officer of Xiaomi India, entering the electric vehicle sector is not easy. He said that the initial focus of the company will be on the Chinese market. Only after this will this car be launched internationally.

Design and features of YU7
A very attractive design can be seen in Xiaomi YU7 SUV. Its stunning wheels and SU7-like LED taillamps give it a stylish look. The length of this SUV is approximately 5 meters and it has been given a coupe design.

The top-end variant of YU7 has a dual motor setup, in which a large 101 kWh Qilin battery pack is installed. This battery gives the car a range of about 800 kilometers on a single charge.

Strong power and performance
According to the regulatory filing in China, dual motor setup has been given in YU7. The front motor generates power of 299 hp and the rear motor generates power of 392 hp. This combined setup gives an output of 691 hp. This SUV can reach a top speed of 253 km/h with a weight of 2,405 kg.

Battery and range
The entry-level RWD variant of the YU7 uses LFP-chemistry batteries. If a two-wheel-drive version is launched, the same battery setup could be found in the YU7.

Status on launch in India
Regarding the possibility of launch in India, Xiaomi says that at present they have no plans. But if this car comes to India, it can give tough competition to BYD Seal and other electric cars.
