Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the Indian arm of the Japanese carmaker, has added the GX (O) variant to its Innova Hycross lineup. The eight-seater variant is priced at ₹20.99 lakhs, while the seven-seater variant is priced at ₹21.13 lakhs. Bookings for the new variant are now open, with deliveries set to commence from April 15, 2024.

The GX (O) variant offers several upgrades over the GX trim, including a larger 10.1-inch infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, front parking sensors, a 360-degree surround camera, rear sunshade, rear defogger, dual-tone interior with a soft-touch dashboard, and LED fog lamps.

Inside, the variant gets dark chestnut quilted leather seats, soft-touch leather, and metallic decorations. Exterior features include 16-inch alloy wheels, a roof-end spoiler with LED stop lamp, and ORVMs with auto fold, electric adjust, and turn indicators.

In terms of safety, the GX (O) variant is equipped with an electric parking brake with auto-hold, all-wheel disc brakes, six SRS airbags, and ISOFIX anchors.

Sabari Manohar – Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, stated that the new variant with top-class performance along with 10 features is aimed to cater the customers seeking a fully loaded petrol version to meet their evolving lifestyle needs.

The Toyota Innova HyCross GX (O) is powered by a 2.0 L TNGA Gasoline Engine, producing 172 bhp and 205 Nm of torque. It comes with a Direct Shift CVT with a launch gear mechanism and a 10-speed sequential shift, offering a fuel economy of 16.13 kmpl.

Launched in November 2022, Toyota claims that it has sold over 50,000 units of the Innova HyCross till date. Recently, the company reopned the bookings for the top spec strong hybrid models, ZX and ZX(O).

The official website of the Japanese auto giant shows that the top variant is now up for booking at a price of ₹30.98 lakh (ex-showroom). Price of all other variants have also been hiked after Toyota announced increase of prices by about one per cent from April 2024 onwards.

Honda is offering a ‘Celebration Offer’ on Elevate which offers benefits of up to ₹19,000. The Elevate is the only SUV in Honda’s portfolio. It is priced between ₹11.69 lakh and ₹16.51 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom.

Honda City April 2024 discounts

The City is being offered with a cash discount of up to ₹10,000 or accessories of up to ₹10,897. The ZX variant gets a cash discount of up to ₹15,000 or accessories of up to ₹16,296 and there is also a car exchange bonus of ₹15,000. Honda is also offering a car exchange bonus of ₹10,000, a customer loyalty bonus of ₹4,000, a Honda car exchange bonus of ₹6,000 and a corporate discount of ₹5,000. The company is also selling a special edition known as Elegant Edition with benefits of ₹36,500.

Honda Amaze April 2024 discounts

Honda is offering Amaze with a cash discount of ₹10,000 or accessories of up to ₹12,349. The E variant gets a cash discount of up to ₹5,000 or accessories of up to ₹6,298. Other than this, there is a special corporate discount of ₹20,000, a corporate discount of ₹3,000, a customer loyalty bonus of ₹4,000, a car exchange bonus of ₹10,000 and a Honda car exchange bonus of ₹6,000. The manufacturer is also selling a special edition known as Elite Edition with benefits of up to ₹30,000.

Actor Harshvardhane Rane, most popularly known for his movie Sanam Teri Kasam, has brought home the Toyota Innova Hycross Hybrid. The actor took to the social media platform Instagram to share the news. Rane can be seen posing with the dealership personnel, while also performing the delivery rituals before taking the MPV out.

Rane also reasoned why chose the Toyota Innova Hycross as his next car in the post. His caption read, “For my next film to be shot in May & June 2024, I will be travelling to some parts of Madhya Pradesh and North of India by road and not by flights!”

An avid outdoor enthusiast, Rane certainly would want to enjoy the hinterland by road and the Innova Hycross Hybrid does promise plenty of comfort coupled with impressive fuel efficiency. The actor appears to have opted for the top-spec Innova Hycross ZX (O) variant priced at ₹30.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which comes with all the bells and whistles including the ottoman seats.

The Toyota Innova Hycross is based on the latest TNGA platform bringing a monocoque body to the MPV for the first time. The MPV gets plenty of creature comfort features including segment-first paddle shifters, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control for the first and second rows, and an electrically operable tailgate. The second row gets electrically adjustable seats with a powered ottoman, which remains a highlight of the model.

Power on the Innova Hycross Hybrid comes from the 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor for a combined output of 183 bhp. The strong hybrid motor is capable of running 40 per cent of the distance and 60 per cent of the time with electric propulsion for high fuel efficiency. The hybrid model claims a fuel efficiency of 23.24 kmpl (ARAI certified).

On the work front, Harshvardhane Rane will be seen next in three projects Kun Faya Kun, Miranda Boys and an untitled film, all slated for release this year. The actor has also owned the previous generation Mahindra Thar and the BMW R nineT in the past.

If you are an existing Honda user, the company will give you a loyalty bonus of ₹4,000.

Furthermore, the Honda Amaze E variant gets a cash discount of ₹15,000 or buyers can opt for free accessories worth ₹18,148. The subcompact sedan also gets a loyalty bonus of ₹4,000, a corporate discount of ₹3,000 and a special corporate discount of ₹20,000. Buyers exchanging their old car will get a bonus of ₹15,000.

Honda Cars India has registered a marginal rise in its sales in August with one of the smallest fleet any carmaker has in India. With the help of its two sedans – the fifth generation City and the sub-compact Amaze, the carmaker has been able to deliver 7,880 units last month. The Japanese auto giant’s sales in India has grown by one per cent compared to the same month last year. The carmaker is now gearing up to launch the Elevate compact SUV, its third model in India, on Monday (September 4).

City and Amaze sedans hold Honda Cars’ sales in India steady with marginal growth in August.

Honda’s sales last month is barely 31 units more than the carmaker sold in August last year. However, the carmaker has clocked a decent jump in sales compared to the previous month. In July this year, Honda had clocked 4,864 units. The Japanese carmaker attributed the rise to growing demands ahead of festive season. “The festive demand has been strong and continues to show good momentum. The celebratory fervour, which began with Onam in southern India, will extend to the rest of the markets as we move towards the peak of festivities in the coming months,” Yuichi Murata, Director Marketing and Sales at Honda Cars India, said.

Meanwhile, Honda’s export has dropped to 2,189 units against 2,356 units in August 2022, a decline of around seven per cent.

Honda is gearing up to add a compact SUV in its sedan-only lineup on September 4 when it officially launches the Elevate. Honda Cars has already received good response on bookings for the SUV. Bookings were opened on July 3 for ₹5,000. The deliveries are expected to begin soon after it is launched.

Honda Elevate SUV will be offered in four variants – SV, V, VX and ZX. The carmaker will initially offer the SUV with seven single colour options. The SUV will be offered with a 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine, which is also used for the Honda City sedan. This engine churns out 119 bhp of power and 145.1 Nm torque. The engine is available with a six-speed manual gearbox and an advanced CVT gearbox.

During the campaign, potential customers can also experience the ADAS technology of Honda Sensing through the test drive of the Honda City sedan. There will also be a daily lucky draw competition, offering participants a chance to win prizes.

Meanwhile, the company is gearing up to launch the Elevate SUV in the Indian market in September, right ahead of the festive season. The production of the SUV has commenced at the company’s Tapukara facility in Rajasthan on July 31. The car brand also started accepting bookings for the upcoming model earlier this month across India at a price of ₹21,000.

The Honda Elevate SUV will be available in the country in four different trim levels: SV, V, VX and ZX.
