Tesla opens all-in-one center in Gurugram for sales, fast-charging and service

Tesla has opened its first Tesla Center in Gurugram, setting up a full-service hub as the brand steps up its electric mobility game for India. The facility is located at Orchid Business Park and will bring together retail operations, after-sales support, delivery services and charging infrastructure, all under one roof.

The launch also aligns with the company's broader push into the Indian market, which began with its formal entry earlier this year. Model Y, price from 59.89 lakh, now open for orders with home-charging support.

Deliveries of the Model Y are promised to be completed within a year. The SUV remains one of the world's best-selling cars and enjoys top global safety ratings.

Haryana positions itself as EV and tech hub

Inaugurating the centre, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini described the inauguration as a “proud moment” for Gurugram and highlighted the state's developed industrial landscape. He pointed to Haryana's growing economic contribution, which now accounts for 3.6 percent of India's GDP, and the significant increase in exports, which the state claims has led to growth. 70,000 crores 2.75 lakh crore in 2025.

Saini stressed on the state's growing role in mobile, automobile and agri-vehicle production as well as better connectivity through major road corridors and air links. He also cited efforts to reduce bureaucratic delays, set up a dedicated MSME department and support more than 12 lakh small industries.

Looking to the future, the Chief Minister said Haryana is preparing for future technologies, including an AI hub in Gurugram, a futuristic department and a plan to adopt deep-tech. Rs 2,000 crore fund to support start-ups. He said the government expects Tesla to set up associated manufacturing units in the state.

Tesla outlines its India roadmap

Sharad Agarwal, General Manager, Tesla India, highlighted that the Gurugram center is designed to integrate Tesla's offerings into the daily lives of Indian customers. The site features an experience space, Model Y test drive, V4 supercharger and after-sales care. Agarwal also confirmed that Tesla's charging network will expand rapidly across the region, aiming to ease EV adoption.

Visitors can explore the company's latest technologies, including the Optimus Gen 2 humanoid robot, which is also on display in Mumbai and Delhi, part of Tesla's effort to showcase advancements in AI and automation. The inauguration follows the establishment of experience centers in Mumbai and Delhi and initial charging points in both the cities.

Charging range is increasing in NCR

With the upcoming One Horizon site operational, Tesla will operate four charging stations in Gurugram and Delhi, offering 16 Superchargers and 10 destination chargers. According to the company, its V4 Supercharger can add up to 275 km of range in 15 minutes on the Model Y, enabling a straightforward plug-in, charge and go experience.
