- The VLF dacoit scooter by Motohaus is set to launch in India on 25 September, with a design inspired by the streetfighter motorcycles.
Motohaus has officially announced the launch date for the VLF dacoit scooter in India. This sporty scooter will be the company's second model in the country after the tennis electric scooter to be launched on 25 September. When this comes, it will be the first internal combustion engine (Ice) scooter from the brand in India. In particular, the Italian brand has a strategic partnership with Kav Velos Motors (KVM) to localize the scooter in Kolipur.
VLF Dacoit: Design
VLF dacoit is a petrol-powered scooter aimed at the purpose of young buyers. Designed by famous Italian designer Alesandro Tartarini, it takes heavy inspiration from high -performance streetfighter motorcycles. Its design has multiple cuts and bodywork on bodywork and sharp, angular lines with crease. The front includes DRLs, a long flychrin and twin LED headlights with a exposed handle. The profile is minimal, with exposed engine components and a compact seat. It is expected to be available in two colors: red and gray.
VLF Dacoit: Underpinings
The scooter has a high-focal steel frame and hydraulic suspension. The disc brake will handle braking at both ends. This premium will be equipped with alloy wheels fitted with tires, although further details have not been revealed.
VLF Dacoit: Expected Facilities
According to VLF India, the scooter will include front dashakam, liquid cooling and switched ABS. The instrument cluster ride will have a 5 -inch TFT display showing data, notification and control. It will also support mobile screen mirroring for navigation, call and music control, and will include a USB charging port.
VLF Dacoit: Expected Poetrain
While engine options have not been officially revealed, liquid cooling for the motor is confirmed. Globally, the scooter is available with either 125cc or 180cc engines. The 125cc engine develops 11.8 bhp and 117 Nm peak torque, while the 180cc version produces 17.7 bhp and 15.7 Nm of torque. It is believed that the Indian model will have a 180cc engine facility.
VLF Dacoit: Availability
Motohaus India initially planned to sell VLF dacoits in major cities like Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Goa, Kolhapur and Sangli. The company intends to expand availability in other cities in the coming weeks. Targeting a niche market, it is expected to launch within the next few months. The dacoit will compete with models such as the new Aprilia SR 175, Yamaha Erox 155, and Hero Zoom 160 in the dacoit premium scooter segment.
