Motohaus, the official distributor of the VLF scooter, will launch a new dacoit scooter in India on 25 September, 2025. This will be VLF's first internal combustion engine (ICE) scooter, which is currently on sale after tennis electric scooters. The VLF dacoit is a sporty offering, which promises sharp styling, pepping performance, and a host of features including a dasham.


VLF dacoit: to be locally manufactured
Motohause comes from a partnership between Italian manufacturer and India's Kav Velos Motors (KVM), which retails VLF and BRICTTON motorcycles. The upcoming VLF dacoit will be locally gathered in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, locally at the facility.

VLF Dacoit: Styling
The VLF dacoit is designed by famous Italian designer Alesandro Tartarini, and the scooter streetfighter takes inspiration from a host of motorcycles. Front Sports Twin led the headlamps with DRLS, a long flyscreen and an exposed handler. The side panels are rapidly designed to highlight the engine, while the seat is seen as compact. The dacoit is expected to come in two color options: red and gray. The model rides on 12-inch alloys, which has a 120-section tire and a 130-section tires at the back.
VLF Dacoit: Facilities
The VLF dacoit will be loaded with features, including a 5-inch TFT display with screen mirror, a USB charging port and switchable dual-channel ABS. The scooter is also expected to get a live dashed feature, from which it is one of the first scooters to be equipped with the market.
VLF Dacoit: Specification
The dacoit is available globally with either 125 cc or 180 cc engine option. The 125 cc single-cylinder motor produces 12 bhp and 11.7 Nm of torque, while the 180 cc versions exit 17.7 bhp and 15.7 Nm. Other mechanical bits include telescopic forks in the front and dual shock absorber at the back, as well as the disc brake at the end.
The premium scooter segment is booming with launch this year, and the upcoming VLF dacoit will take TVS NTORQ, Hero Xom 160, Aprilia SR 175, and on offerings like this.
