Skoda Auto Focuswagen India has set a new record by producing 5,00,000 engines at Pune plant. This milestone reflects the company's production capacity and quality in India.

New Delhi. Skoda Auto Focuswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL), which manages business in India for Skoda, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche and Lamborghini, today announced that it has made a new record by producing 5,00,000 engines.

The brand has been producing the engine in its Chakan (Pune) plant since 2014. This milestone shows the strength of the company's production in India. The Chakan plant currently produces a 1.0-liter TSI petrol engine and a 1.5-liter TSI petrol engine. While the 1.0-liter unit has a advanced exhaust emission technique, the 1.5-liter unit has used active cylinder technology (ACT).

The Board Member of Skoda Auto's production and logistics, Andreas Dick said. “Producing 5,00,000 engines in our Pune plant is a significant milestone, which strengthens India's role in our global construction network. Ensures our production capabilities, ensuring high quality and affordable powertrane, India's advanced construction ecosystems and skilled workforce. The milestone strengthens India's ability to support India's international operations and future growth. ”
