New Delhi. A leading IT company surprised the automotive world at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. SCSK Corp – which is known for software and cloud solutions. This company presented an EV concept at Japan Mobility Show 2025. Its most special thing is that it was prepared in just 9 months i.e. 270 days, which is a record in itself. Which usually takes 3-5 years to prepare a new model. Then after the prototype is ready, it is produced. But, SCSK Corp has achieved this feat by converting a code into a product in just 270 days and has set a new standard in the industry.
The concept vehicle has been named the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) EV Concept by SCSK, and it is not intended for mass production but rather to show what software companies can do when they try their hand at hardware.
Why only 9 months?
The nine-month development cycle is equivalent to the timeline of human pregnancy, which is why the company created this timeline model which signals the 'birth' of a new mobility model.
How did you accomplish this feat?
Koji Watanabe, general manager of SCSK's Mobility Business Group, said that in the traditional model, developing a car is a horizontal action, using hardware software integration. “SCSK turned it around, proving that by prioritizing software architecture – and using a vertical, co-manufacturing model with foreign hardware partners – the development phase could be accelerated.”
Highly Adaptive Experience
The SDV EV concept looks like a futuristic car, and its front grille houses a large, interactive screen. Inside the cabin, it features an intelligent cockpit with a 44.6-inch 8K pillar-to-pillar display and a personalized AI agent. Watanabe said that AI can learn the user's habits and adapt everything from climate control to navigation, making the car offer a highly adaptive experience.
