84 lakh car sold for 2.5 lakhs
Varun Vij of Delhi sold Mercedes-Benz ML350 for Rs 84 lakh in 2015. According to the new rule of Delhi government, diesel vehicles older than 10 years will not get fuel and they will also be scraped. In this compulsion, Varun Vij sold this car for just 2.5 lakh rupees. But was it the right deal? Maybe not! So let's know what other options Varun Vij had, so that he could get a better deal for his car.
Diesel vehicles older than 10 years will no longer get fuel and the same rule is for 15 year old petrol vehicles. But this rule is currently applicable only in Delhi. If Varun had sold this car to a person outside Delhi, he might have got a better price for it. Many online services are also available for this which provides Pan India Second Hand Car Service. In such a situation, Varun could get a better price of his car.
CNG Fitment
Fit CNG kit in the car could also be a better option, for a long time. There is no ban on CNG cars in Delhi, then if you fit CNG in your expired car, then you can easily refuel and drive for a long time. CNG is also cheaper than petrol and diesel, so that a lot of fuel cost can be saved in long term.
