Mahindra will launch a new generation Scorpio based on the Vision S concept in 2027, in which advanced safety, petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric options can be found.
Mahindra is ready with its completely upgraded lineup, which will be launched from 2027. Currently, Scorpio is counted among the most popular SUV models of India. This is the reason why buyers are eagerly waiting for its launch. In this, Vision S – new generation Scorpio will be launched first. So what can be expected from this model? Let us discuss –
New Generation Mahindra Scorpio – Design Mahindra has debuted its Vision S concept, which will likely be added to the Scorpio family. This model will be based on the new NU_IQ platform. Talking about its exterior design, the SUV gets a traditional boxy design silhouette.
At the front, the SUV gets Twin Peaks logo on the grille, inverted L-shaped headlights, vertical LED lights on the grille and pixel-shaped fog lamps. Radar and parking sensors are installed in the bumper. From the side, the SUV looks like a Defender, with a stepladder and a cane on the right side. Other highlights include 19-inch wheels, cameras in place of conventional rear view mirrors, side steps, flush door handles.
At the rear of the model, there are inverted L-shaped taillights, along with Quadra Pixel lights on the bumper. It also gets a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate. Moving inside, there will be several changes in the new model. The concept shows the SUV with a new steering wheel, digital driver display with refreshed graphics, infotainment with new UI UX, dual tone upholstery, panoramic glass roof, grab handles for rear passengers and more.
Other features may include ventilated seats, good sound system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone AC, ambient lights, wireless phone charging and more. The interiors also look spacious, which is expected to offer good legroom and headroom for rear passengers.
Now, the model is also considered safe. It is expected to have many advanced safety features, including Level 2+ ADAS, 6-airbags, 520-degree camera and more. High tensile steel will be used in its construction so that good security can be provided.
Powertrain The new platform supports petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric powertrains as well as FWD and AWD configurations. But till now the brand has not shared the powertrain details of this SUV.
We expect the SUV to continue with the same powertrain as the current model. It has a 2-litre turbo petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The SUV may also get a hybrid powertrain. Note that this is all speculation at the moment, more details about the powertrain will be shared by the brand closer to the launch.
