New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki, which has ruled the Indian automobile market for decades, faced mixed reactions in October 2024. The country's largest carmaker sold 1,59,591 units domestically this month, which is 5% less than the 1,68,407 units sold last year in October 2023. However, a 10% increase in sales was recorded as compared to September 2024, which was mainly possible due to the festive season.
However, sales of some models of Maruti remain stable. The reason for this is not only the launch of new models, but also the company has not updated these cars for a long time, due to which customers are getting disillusioned with them. Let us know about some of the best and least selling cars of Maruti.
These 3 models become a headache
Talking about the company's least selling cars, the least selling car in this list is the company's premium sedan Ciaz, which sold only 659 units in October 2024. Apart from this, Jimny and XL6 have also been the company's lowest selling cars, with sales of 1,211 and 3,285 units respectively. Sales of Maruti's premium MPV Invicto declined by 38% and only 296 units of this model were sold.
This 7-seater hangs over people
On one hand, the performance of some of Maruti's older models has been stable, while on the other hand, the company's affordable 7-seater Ertiga has performed better in the last few months. This car became India's best selling car with sales of 18,785 units. Compared to last year, an increase of 32% was seen in the sales of this model.
Here are the top 5 cars
Apart from Ertiga, Swift was at second place in the list of top-5 cars of Maruti with sales of 17,539 units. Brezza, Franxx and Baleno occupied the third, fourth and fifth positions respectively, with their sales also exceeding 16,000 units.
