New Reno Duster coming to sleep for Creta-Nexon, 'Lohalat' will be features

New Delhi. The news of the new Duster being launched in the Indian market has been going on the Internet for a long time. In January, Reno confirmed that a new SUV would be launched in the next year i.e. 2026. This is none other than the third Jane Duster, which was introduced at the international level last year. Here we will tell you about some of the latest updates of the new Duster. It will compete with vehicles like Hyundai Creta, Kiya Seltose, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Skoda Kushak.

The first generation duster started the mid-size SUV segment in India. The new duster will not have diesel engines, but it will completely depend on petrol powertrain. At the international level, this SUV includes a 1.2-liter turbo petrol mild-hybrid, 1.6-liter petrol strong hybrid and 1.0-liter by-fuel LPG/Petrol option.

In India, we hope that Reno will use a 1.3 liter HR13 turbo petrol engine as before, which will have a power output of 156 bhp. In addition, 1.5-liter natural aspirated petrol motor and 1.0-liter turbo engine, which are used in keigar and magnite, may also include options. It will have both manual and automatic gearbox options, whose details have not yet been revealed. Based on the CMF-B platform, the road testing of the new Duster has already started in India. The length of the SUV is 4.34 meters and wheelbase is 2,657 mm. The ground clearance for 4×2 variants is 209 mm. Talking about the AWD setup, it is less likely for the domestic market, but Reno can bring it later based on the market response.

Not sunroof in global model
In terms of design, the India-spec model will be similar to the global model, although there will be some minor changes in and out to meet the demands of Indian customers in a better way. For example, the global model does not have sunroof, but it is likely to be in the India-Special Duster. In addition, Reno can leave Adas technology for aggressive pricing.

Price (potential)
Talking about the price, we hope that the initial price of the new generation Reno Duster will be around Rs 10-11 lakh (ex-showroom). With this, it will be equal to its rivals in terms of price or in some cases may be reduced to them. The price of a fully loaded top-spec variant can go above Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
