Tesla has launched model Y in the Indian market, which starts at Rs 61.07 lakh. It will compete with Byd Sealion 7 and BMW X1 LWB. Model Y range up to 500 km.

Battery, range and price of byd Sealion 7
Byd Sealion 7 comes in dual motor form, while India does not have a dual motor option in Tesla model Y. Sealion 7 Single Motor is priced at Rs 51.80 lakh and has an 82.56 kWh battery pack which gives a range of 482 km. The dual motor byd Sealion is more than 7 fast and gives 530bhp power, but its range is reduced by about 456 km.
Tesla Model Y: Battery, Range
The model Y RWD has a 60kwh battery pack and the range claimed is about 500 km. Power is about 295bhp. LR or long range variants have a large 75kwh battery pack with a range of 622 km.
BMW X1 LWB: Battery, Range and Price
The BMW X1 LWB comes in a single motor configuration and gives power to 204bhp, while its range is about 531 km with a 66.4 kwh battery pack. Its price is Rs 51.9 lakh, which is competitive.
Tesla Model Y: Expensive than compattors
Compared to its compattors, the model Y looks a bit expensive because in single motor form it is much expensive than BYD Sealion 7 Dual Motor and BMW X1 LWB. However, the battery pack of the LR variant is quite large and its range is more than its competition, even if it is less than 7 powerful.
