New Delhi. Tata Motors currently owns the British Auto Brand – Jaguar Land Rover. The pair had earlier shared a platform to develop the Tata Harrier and Safari SUV. Now recently a foreign publication has told that JLR Owner, Tata Motors, is developing a mini defender. However, this is not completely correct. The company is working on the new-jen avatar of Tata Sierra SUV, which is called the media outlet Baby Land Rover Defender. Tata Sierra was showcased in its production-spec avatar at 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo.

Inspired by land rover defender
In the New-Jen variant, Sierra looks somewhat inspired by the Land Rover defender. In fact, its silhouette is similar to luxury off-roader. It does not have a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. At the front, it has a large piano-black grille and thin LED DRL. The bumper is given a finish with a silver scuff plate.

What will be found in the cabin?
Inside, Sierra is expected to get a utilitarian style dashboard, which is like a defender. In addition, it is expected to have an LCD infotainment unit that uses land rover-style skin for digital dials. Both EV and ICE Poetrain will be available on this so -called baby defender.
