Citron has launched the Basalt X well SUV under Citroen 2.0 Strategy in India, which started pre-booking for Rs 11000 and will get new interiors and features.

New Delhi. Citron has recently announced its new business model for the Indian market, which is being called Citron 2.0 Strategy. The first model to be launched under this new strategy is Basalt X. The French car manufacturer filed a trademark for it some time ago and is now ready to launch the new coup SUV variant. Citron has officially released the first photographs of Basalt X, showing external and internal changes. Also, the company has started pre-booking for Basalt X, whose token price is Rs 11,000. Potential buyers can book on all citron dealerships and Citron India website across the country.

Citron Basalt X: Updated Exterior and Interiors
In the first photos, Basalt X is shown as a black follicle SUV. The outer part is wrapped in black paint scheme, although there is no significant change in the case of design. Basalt X's cabin will witness more changes. Two-tone black and tan interior theme is visible in the pictures. The seats will be wrapped in black upholstery. Bronze accents can also be seen on AC vents and infotainment screen, which give more premium touch to the cabin. No more cosmetic change has been seen in the current photos.

Citron Basalt X: Features and Specifications
We hope that Citron Basalt X will have features like regular basalt. These include a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android auto and Apple CarPlay, Connected Car Tech, 7-inch Digital Instrument Cluster, 3-Sten Adjustable Thai support for rear seats and auto climate control. Some additional features such as kelace entry, push-button start/stop and 360-degree camera may also include, as seen in the recently launched C3X.

Mechanical change
Even on the mechanical front, there will be no change in the basalt. It will continue to use a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which gives power of 109 bhp, and gives 205 Nm torque with 190 Nm torque with 5-speed manual and 205 Nm with 6-speed torque-converter automatic. The price in the price can be a premium of about Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 as against the current top-end variants.
