2026 Hyundai i20 appeared during testing in Gurugram, will come up with new designs and features, engine options will remain old, it is possible to increase the price.
New Delhi. Hyundai i20 was first introduced in India in 2008 and received several facelifts and genetic upgrade in 2014 and 2020. This hatchback has always been appreciated for its modern styling, premium cabin and many powertrain options. Although sales in the small car segment are steadily decreasing, Hyundai is planning a new general upgrade to boost the i20 market performance. The Hyundai i20 of the 4th Gen is currently in its early phase and has been seen on the streets of Gurugram, Haryana.
The test mule was fully calculated, hiding most of its design details. 2026 Hyundai i20 can maintain its old silhouette, but will adopt the brand's new design language. It can have a completely new front face and newly designed alloy wheels. The hatchback lineup may also include new options.
Interior
More features inside, the new i20 is expected to have a redesigned dashboard and 10.2-inch double TFT cluster. To increase its price value, Hyundai can equip the hatchback with ventilated front seats, 360 degrees camera and other features.
No mechanical change
There is no major change in mechanical, 2026 Hyundai i20. Like the current model, Next Jane will have a 1.2L natural aspirated petrol and 1.5L diesel engine and several gearbox options. The performance oriented i20 N line variant will also continue with a 1.0L turbo petrol engine, which will be paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT Automatic Gearbox. Price expectations are expected to grow slight growth in the price of the new Hyundai i20, which is available within the price limit of Rs 6.87 lakh-Rs 10.43 lakh (ex-showroom).
