Top 10 Cars in October 2025: Maruti Suzuki WagonR won the title of top hatchback by selling 18,970 units in October. Many models including Tata Tiago, Glanza, Altroz registered great growth in sales. WagonR once again proved its mettle and once again emerged as India's number 1 car. Maruti had the maximum number of cars in the top 10.
During the festival season, the sales of hatchback cars along with SUVs also increased in the Indian market. Last October, Maruti Suzuki WagonR won the title of top selling hatchback, beating Baleno and Swift. The top 10 included hatchback cars of different sizes like Tata Motors' Tiago and Altroz, Hyundai Motor India's Grand i10 Nios and i20, Toyota Glanza and Maruti Suzuki's Alto K10 and S-Presso. Maruti Suzuki WagonR registered a year-on-year growth of 36 percent with sales of 18,970 units in October. WagonR was the number 1 hatchback car in the country last month. Its affordable price, spacious design and excellent mileage make it extremely popular among Indian families.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno sold 16,873 units in October, which shows an annual growth of 5 percent. Baleno has maintained its strong hold in the premium hatchback segment. This car sold at Maruti Suzuki's Nexa dealership is known for its modern features and style. Baleno stood second in the hatchback segment.

Maruti Suzuki Swift was the third best selling hatchback in October. Swift sold 15,542 units, which shows an annual decline of 11 percent in its sales. Despite this decline, it remains in the top 3.

Tata Motors' entry level car Tiago was purchased by 8,850 customers in October, which shows an annual increase of 89 percent. It has almost doubled its sales with a historic growth of 89 percent. This Tata car is not only known for safety, but its iCNG and Tiago.ev versions have also contributed significantly to sales.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor's premium hatchback Glanza sold 6,162 units in October, which shows an annual growth of 44 percent. Glanza is quite effective in terms of look-features and mileage.

Tata Motors' premium hatchback Altroz sold 3,770 units in October last and this figure is an impressive growth of 43 percent. Altroz's 5-star safety rating and iCNG/iTurbo variants are attracting customers.

Last October was a good month for Maruti Suzuki S-Presso and 2,857 units were sold in 31 days. An annual increase of 34 percent in the sales of S-Presso has been recorded last month.
