Renault India released the teaser of the new generation Duster, which will compete with Tata Sierra. The SUV has completed 10 lakh km of testing across three continents and will come with muscular styling. After launch, it will compete not only with Sierra but also with cars like Tata Nexon and Hyundai Creta. Creta and Nexon entered India only after the launch of Duster.
Renault India has released a new teaser of its new generation Duster, in which many important information about this SUV has been revealed. Along with this, the company has also told that this SUV, which competes with Tata Sierra, has done more than 10 lakh kilometers of test runs in three continents before its launch.
During testing, this SUV has been tested for its durability by driving it on extremely difficult weather and roads. According to the company, Renault Duster has been tested in temperatures ranging from -23 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius.
According to the new teaser video, Renault Duster gets the same muscular styling as before, which was liked a lot even in the discontinued model. It has a slim headlamp unit, which has eyebrow shaped LED DRLs. The grille of the SUV looks slightly different from the international model. Along with this, there are narrow air slits in the bumper, which have fog lamps on both sides.

It is expected that Renault can offer larger 18-inch alloy wheels in its top variants and wraparound tail lamp design will be seen at the rear.
During testing, this vehicle was also taken to the heights of Leh-Ladakh. Apart from this, the SUV was also tested in dust tunnel and water wading zone. For global testing of 10 lakh kilometers, this SUV was driven in Brazil, Romania, France, China and Czech Republic.
The sides of the SUV have a square shape, but the surfaces are smoother than before. The rear door handles are located on the C-pillar and there is thick cladding around the wheel arches, showing its connection to the global model.
While earlier Duster came with diesel engine in India, the new generation Duster is expected to be launched only with petrol engine. In this, the 156hp 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine of the global variant can be given.
After launch, the new generation Renault Duster will compete with SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyder and the upcoming Nissan Tekton.
