5. Strong Hybrid is expected to share new Maruti SUV 103bhp, 1.5L petrol, 1.5L Atkinson Cycle Petrol Hybrid and CNG engine options. Strong hybrid variant will have Toyota-SOS 92BHP, 1.5L Atkinson Cycle Petrol Engine and 79bhp power generating electric motor.

6. According to the underbody CNG kit leaked information, Maruti will be the first model of the Escudo brand with underbody CNG kit placement, which will empty the boot space.

7. According to previous media reports longer than Grand Vitara, Escudo will be slightly longer than Grand Vitara, which will also have a large boot space.

Lamborghini showcased Limited-Eid Fenomano Supercar during Montere Car Week 2025. The Italian brand claims that Phenomeno has the most powerful V12 engine ever. It is the latest in the line of Lamborghini's exclusive models, which follows the tradition of Reventon, which includes SESTO Elemeno (2010), Venno (2013), Cennario (2016), Sian (2019), and Countach (2021).

New Delhi. On this year's Independence Day, Mahindra & Mahindra organized a mega product Blitz, showcasing Vision S, Vision T, Vision X and Vision Sxt Concept SUVs. These concepts are based on the new NU IQ modular platforms of the brand and presents a glimpse of Mahindra's future products. Mahindra Vision S and Vision X concepts show a glimpse of the upcoming Hyundai Creta and Tata Nexon's competitions. Mahindra Vision T is a more strong variant of Popular Thar, while Vision Sxt Thar-based pickup can occur.

Thar.e Electric SUV
Vision T concept is designed by Mahindra -based design studio and has been designed in Mahindra Research Valley. It looks stronger and traditional of the Thar.E concept, which was first introduced in 2023. This concept can form the basis for the next-generation Thar or Thar.E Electric SUV. Since it is based on Mahindra's new MU IQ Monococcu modular architecture, which supports ice, hybrid and electric powertrain, there is a possibility of coming with the electric or hybrid engine option of the new generation Thar.

Design elements
The Mahindra Vision T has a split grill on the front side with vertical slots, a large bumper, a quarter glass area and bonnet laches. The headlamps have four personal LED DRLs with a square LED unit, which also follow the same pattern on tail lamps. The front bumper further enhances the strong presence of Tow Hooks, Boxy Stons, All-Terran Tires and high ground clearances. The concept also features hook points for Roof Carriers, luggage-mounting racks on rear quarter glass area and exposed door hij.

Interior and features
The Mahindra Vision T has a large portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system, a free-standing digital instrument cluster, a few physical switchgear in the central console, a new 3-spoke steering wheel and a panoramic sunroof. The design of the dashboard is minimalistic and has black finish.

Surprisingly, it is getting a discount of Rs 1 lakh within just 90 days of launch on 2025 Tata Ultrose facelift. The hatchback model lineup currently comes in 22 variants, which are priced between Rs 6.89 lakh to Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

In July 2025, a total of 3,905 units of the new Tata Altrose were sold, while Maruti Baleno's 12,503 units and Hyundai i20 sold 3,396 units. In the last six months, Tata Motors sold 16,092 units of Ultrose, while its rival Baleno and i20 recorded a total sales of 74,104 units and 22,875 units respectively.

Two engine options
2025 Tata Ultrose comes with two engine options – 88bhp, 1.2L petrol and 74bhp, 1.2L CNG. Transmission options include 5-speed manual, AMT and 6-speed dual-clutch automatic. Performance Oriented Ultrose Racer 120bhp uses 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine. Ultrose's major rivals – Maruti Baleno and Hyundai i20 are available with 90bhp, 1.2L dualJet K12N petrol engine, and 83bhp, 1.2L Natural Aspirated Petrol, 120bhp, 120bhp, 1.0L Turbo Petrol and 100bhp, 1.5L diesel engine options.

Midlife update was received in May
With midlife updates in May 2025, Tata Ultrose includes several new features, including 10.25-inch all digital instrument cluster blind spot monitoring and navigation display, two-spoke steering wheel, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system wireless applies and endrolaids. Along with, Tata's in-car connectivity technology, sunroof, AC vents, rear USB charger, 8-speaker Harman audio system, 360-degree camera, height adjustable seatbelt, six airbags.

New Delhi. Amidst the glut of electric SUV in the market, Kia Carens Clavis Ev looks like a fresh air. It focuses more on EV power, performance, range and some off-road features. This electric car of Kia is made keeping in mind the family who prefer to travel together. Kia ran India's first 7-seat mass-market EV, which comes with 42 kwh and 51.4 kwh battery options.

How is the design?
The design is like Carens Clavis Ice (petrol and diesel), but there are some fine differences – EV has air flaps for closed grills, separate alloy wheels, 'EV' badging and low drag. The cabin has a center console with 'floating design', gear lever has been transferred behind the steering wheel (as a stock), the instrument cluster has information like range/charge in the instrument cluster, besides a small front trunk below the bonnet.

How is the cabin?

Klavis EV has a fairly practical cabin-the second row seats can slide/relieve, and the third is an one-tach electric tumble for easy access to the row. 'Boss mode' lets you shift the front passenger seat from behind. Adults of average size in third row can easily fit, and the flat floor comfort up.

The driver's seating position is good, the road has a commanding view. Gear stock has to flick to go from P to R to R. Because there is a battery pack in the floor, the seating position is high. The suspension sounds a bit hard (for extra battery weight), the rest of the back seat is good, and the legroom looks better than the Creta Electric, with which it shares the platform and the battery pack.

What is i-Pedal?

There is a technique in this EV called I-Pedal. You have to set the braking on a maximum level using paddle shifters behind the steering wheel (and the maximum level is I-Pedal). Then, as soon as you remove your foot from the accelerator, the car slows down very fast. In stop-end-go traffic, it means that you will not have to use a brake pedal at all.

What is the True Range?
Where Kia claims a range of 490 km, the Test car showed a 384 km real world range, not enough for long trips, but with the right driving a family can travel from Delhi to Jaipur/Agra/Chandigarh or Mumbai to Nashik/Pune. Should you buy it? The 42-KWH variant is priced at Rs 17.99-20.49 lakhs, and the 51.4-KWH variant is priced at Rs 22.49-24.49 lakhs. It is in the same range of Creta Electric, but Kia also has more space, a little long range, fast charging and seven seats options.

Multi-Puratrain and Multi-Segment

4 new models

The 2026 Hyundai External facelift is expected to be introduced with new upholstery and additional safety features, while its external design will only have minor changes.

Engine, power and price
Currently Hyundai Verna is available with 115bhp, 1.5L Natural Aspirated and 160bhp, 1.5L Turbo Petrol Engine Options. The base variant of the sedan is priced at Rs 11.07 lakh, while the top-end trim is priced at Rs 17.58 lakh (all, ex-showroom). The Hyundai Extercade comes with a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine, which generates a maximum power of 83bhp and 114Nm torque. A CNG variant will also be available. As Hyundai's most affordable and smallest SUV, Exterited currently comes in the price range of Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10.51 lakh (all, ex-showroom). After its midlife updates in 2026, the prices of both Varna and External are likely to increase slightly.

The Mahindra Vision X Concept SUV will probably follow the next generation's XUV 3xo, with some design elements shared with XEV.

Hope of debut in 2027
The car manufacturer has confirmed that NU IQ platform based SUVs will start coming to 2027. The next generation Xuv 3xo is expected to come up by the beginning of 2028 mid or 2029. Most of the design elements of Vision X Concept in New Jane's Mahindra XUV 3xo, ready for exterior design, are expected to maintain elements. The concept SUV has a sporty, crossover stance with high ground clearance.

At the front, it has a seled-off grille, coupe-like windshield, sculpted bonnet, slim lighting elements on the front bumper and XEV9 e-inspired fog lamps with twin pix logo. The side profile has been extended with aero-optimized dual-tone alloy wheels, low profile tires, squeezed wheel arc, front to rear black cladding, flush-fitting door handles, bold crease and a silver side step on doors.

Interior

The interior design and features Mahindra Vision X have a dual screen setup that serves as both infotainment and instrument cluster. It has a black finish dashboard, 2-spoke steering wheels, cup holders and a large center console with storage space, Personal Center Arm Rests for front passengers. A similar interior layout is expected for the new generation Mahindra XUV 3xo.

Powertrain
Mahindra has not yet disclosed Paurtrain Details. However, since it is based on the NU IQ platform which is compatible with multiple powertrains, the new generation XUV 3xo is expected to be introduced with 3 engine options – petrol, hybrid and electric.

Dual cabin layouts
As shown in the concept, the production-red can be introduced with both a 5-seater bench and a 4-seater lounge-style cabin. The lounge version will have two wide rear seats which will have sufficient legumes and otoman functions. It will also have rear seat entertainment screen, foldable tray tables and arm rests, phone chargers and many connectivity options. These features are not in the Creta.

Long driving range

New Delhi. The focus of buyers on green mobility solutions amid rising fuel prices is increasing, EV and hybrid cars are gaining popularity among buyers. Interestingly, in the first half of 2025, there was a sale of over 52,000 hybrid vehicles, which shows an annual growth of 62.5%. Keeping this change in mind, OEMS is making its electric and hybrid product portfolio bigger.

Hybrid cars are still expensive
Currently, hybrid cars are not as cheaper than EV. However, it is about to change with the Arrival of two new budget-friendly hybrid SUVs in 2026. Maruti Suzuki's in-house Strong Hybrid Povertrain reports to debut in Fronx in the beginning of 2026, while Mahindra will start its hybrid trip from XUV 3xo.

Maruti Fronx Hybrid

Maruti Fronx Hybrid Indo-Japanese Automekar is placing a big bet on hybrids with its own series hybrid technology. Maruti Fronx will be the first model to introduce this technique, followed by New-Jen Baleno and a sub-4 meter MPV in 2026. This hybrid system will be designed especially for mass-market models, and it is said that it will be cheaper than Toyota's series-parlablel hybrid systems used in Maruti Grand Vitara and Invido.

Mileage up to 35kmpl
Maruti Fronx Hybrid will come with a new Z12e, 3-cylinder petrol engine, which will be paired with an electric motor and 1.5–2kwh battery pack. This configuration is expected to get mileage up to about 35kmpl.

Mahindra XUV 3xo Hybrid
According to Mahindra XUV 3xo Hybrid reports, Mahindra & Mahindra XUV is working on a strong hybrid system for the 3xo compact SUV, whose project name is S226. The car manufacturer can electrify its tried 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine. The Mahindra XUV 3xo Hybrid is likely to look like its Ice model, with some EVs inside and outside. Mahindra is also working on the Range Extender Hybrid for its current Inglo Architecture-based SUV, whose codename is M130 and M330.

New Delhi. Mahindra has introduced the Vision T SUV concept during an event in Mumbai with Vision S, Vision X and Vision SXT concepts. It was being awaited for a long time. This is a developed version of the new concept Thar.E concept, which was first shown in August 2023. The production-redi model of Vision T concept will come in 2027 and it will probably be part of the Thar family.

Design highlights
In appearance, Vision T Thar.E seems stronger and aggressive, especially on its front end. It has two-parts grills that have vertical slots, as we have seen in Thar Roxx. The headlamps have a square lighting element, surrounded by two vertical elements. The same design pattern will also be seen on tailmp clusters. Design elements such as major wheel arches, square bonnets, bonnet lacques, all-terrain tires and mounted spare wheels on the tailgate further enhance its muscular presence.

Mahindra Vision T

Mahindra will be one of the first models based on the new NU.IQ platform of Mahindra Vision T brand based on Mahindra's new NU.IQ platform, introduced with Mahindra Vision Concept SUVs. This new flexible architecture supports several powertrain, Drivetrain (FWD and AWD) and LHD and RHD configurations. It has been claimed to give the best-in-class commanding seat height, ground clearance and cabin space.

Be 6 Batman Edition
Mahindra & Mahindra, along with Warner Bros, has also introduced BE 6 Batman Edition. This special edition based on Pack Three Trim has been priced at Rs 27.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Only 300 units of Batman Edition will be sold in India. It comes in exclusive Satin Black color scheme and has 20-inch alloy wheels, custom batman decks on doors and alchemy gold-painted suspension components and brake calipers. Elements inspired by many Batman series inside the cabin give it a unique and great appeal. The booking of Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition will start from 23 August, and delivery will start from September 20, 2025.

New Delhi. Mahindra & Mahindra showcased four new SUV concepts – Vision X, Vision S, Vision Tea and Vision SXT on the occasion of Independence Day. All these concepts are based on Mahindra's new NU.IQ platform, which supports many powertrains and drivetrain systems. Mahindra Vision Tea and Vision S can possibly follow the rugged versions of Thar and Scorpio SUVs. Vision X may perhaps join the XUV or XEV family, while Mahindra Vision SXT is a pickup with a compact load area.

All-Terran Pick Up Truck
The vision SXT has a rugged and off-road ready-made character, which has All-Terrane Tires, Pronounced Wheel Archae and High Ground Clearance. At the front, the pickup has split grille, headlamps with unique LED elements, a large bumper with a metallic skid plate and a raised bonnet. The side profile is equipped with flared wheel arc, black ORVM, black side step and doors and body graphics. Behind the C-Pillar, the rear section is open and equipped with two spare all-terrain tires.

Sxt pickup interior

The interior details of SXT pickup have not yet been revealed. However, Mahindra's official showkeaking features a vertically-packed single touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster located just behind the steering wheel. The pickup will feature flat-boatum steering wheels, vertical AC vents and big grab rails on door panels.

Along with SUV concepts, Mahindra & Mahindra also introduced its new flexible NU.IQ platform, which claims to offer class-leading, ground clearance and cabin space. It has 5 links rear suspension, which has Davinci damper technology, which promises better ride comfort and body control. The length of SUV based on NU.IQ platform will be between 3,990 mm to 4,320 mm. This architecture supports ICE (internal combustion engine) and electric powertrain as well as FWD (front-wheel drive) and AWD (all-wheel drive) system. The first model based on this new architecture will come in 2027.

New Delhi. Mahindra & Mahindra has finally unveiled from its new NU.IQ modular platform, which will prepare the brand's future products to compete with global C-segment cars. The car manufacturer has confirmed that the first model based on the new Mahindra Nu.IQ platform will come in 2027.

'Best in Segment'
The company has claimed that NU.IQ will offer Leading Seating and Ground Clearance in the platform segment. The SUVs on this architecture will have a 1,563mm seating position, 350mm driver 'H' point and ground clearance up to 227mm. Apart from this, the new Mahindra NU.IQ platform is also going to get adequate cabin space with 830mm couple distance, 937mm second roam legroom and 1,404mm shoulder room.

Better driveability, handling and mileage

Advance Suspension and Ride Comfort Mahindra has revealed that her new flexible NU.IQ comes with a link rear suspension system, which has been extended with Davinci damper technology. It has been claimed to be the first such technology in the world, which does better ride comfort and body control. Architecture is described as “heavy in style, light in everything”, its 'light' increases body type driveness, handling and mileage.

Stability and capacity
The platform has exceeded several stability and capacity tests, including twin_timized optimized load path for safety, a uni -_rning unified door ring structure, as well as strong cell chemist for water every end test, fire test, wires test and battery safety.

Many powertrain options
The new NU.IQ platform supports many powertrains and configurations. Several Paurtrain, FWD (front-wheel drive) and AWD (all-wheel drive) system, and LHD (Left-Hand Drive) and RHD (Right-Hand Drive) support the configuration. The upcoming Mahindra SUVs based on this new flexible platform will be between 3,990mm – 4,320mm. This 4.3 meter long SUVs and the biggest cabin space for the sub-4-meter model will also continue.

16-inch alloy wheels

The engine will not change
The same engine will also be placed in the new-jane model, the existing 83bhp, 1.2L natural aspirated petrol, 120bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol and 100bhp, 1.5L diesel engine. Naturally aspirate petrol variants will get a 5-speed manual gearbox, while turbo-petrol will have a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT Automatic transmission. The diesel version will be available with only 6-speed manual gearbox. The current-jen venue is priced between Rs 7.94 lakh to Rs 13.62 lakh (all, ex-showroom).

There will be a 4WD (four-wheel drive) system to separate it from Grand Vitara, which can only be offered on high trims. Maruti Grand Vitara comes with FWD (front-wheel drive) and AWD (all-wheel drive) configuration. According to the leaked information, the new Maruti 5-seater will be the first model of the Hybrid SUV brand with Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) and Dolby Atomos technology. Both these features are not in its major rival – Hyundai Creta.

Now, the company is going to extend its Indian product portfolio and is preparing to launch its most affordable electric SUV – byd Atto 2. Although its launch in India has not been officially confirmed, it is expected that this electric SUV may come by the end of this year.

Compete with these cars
In the compact electric SUV segment, it will compete with Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata CurvV Ev, Mg ZS EV and upcoming Maruti E Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser.

45.1kwh battery pack

At the global level, Byd Atto 2 is available with 45.1kwh battery pack, connected with FWD electric motor, which generates 175bhp power and 290Nm torque. This EV claims a 380km NEDC range once charged once. It catches the speed of 0 to 100kmph in 7.9 seconds and its top speed is 160kmph. The SUV supports DC fast charger up to 65kw, which can charge the battery in 10% to 80% 35-40 minutes, and supports AC charging up to 11KW, which takes about 5.5 hours to fully charge.

15.6-inch rotating touchscreen
Like the interior and features other byd EVs, ATTO 2 has a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system and 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. The EV includes panoramic sunroof, many USB ports, connected car features, lady's upholstery, ambient lighting, many airbags, adas suits and more.
