Mahindra Anglo Platform

Mahindra's INGLO is a scalable platform that can support vehicles between 4.3 meters to 5 metres. The company has placed the wheels at the corners while the battery pack is housed in the floorboard. The floor will be flat which means three people sitting on the rear bench will be able to travel comfortably.

The platform can house battery packs with capacities between 60 kWh and 80 kWh. The battery pack is compatible with Blade batteries as well as Prismatic battery packs. These batteries can charge at speeds up to 175 kWh, so a 0-80 percent battery can be charged in less than 30 minutes.

Apart from the company's future electric models, the INGLO platform will underpin the Mahindra BE.05. Measuring 4,370 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width and 1,635 mm high, this coupe-style electric SUV will have a wheelbase of 2,775 mm.

INGLO supports vehicle lengths from 4.3 to 5 metres. It has wheels at the corners and a flat battery pack in the floorboard, supporting ample legroom for rear seat passengers. The platform supports 60-80 kWh batteries, which is compatible with both Blade and Prismatic battery packs. The batteries go from 0-80 percent charged in less than 30 minutes through fast charging of up to 175 kW.

BMW recalls nearly 700,000 cars in China due to fire safety risk

China's State Administration for Market Regulation said in a statement on Friday that BMW will recall 499,539 locally produced cars and 188,371 imported vehicles from March 1, 2025. The agency said faulty coolant pump plugs installed in some models could rust or corrode, causing a short circuit and, in extreme cases, a fire.

The locally assembled Kawasaki KLX 230 is powered by a 233 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that produces 18.1 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 18.3 Nm at 6,400 rpm. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike promises to provide good low-end and mid-range grunt while ensuring a smooth ride at higher speeds. Note that the KLX 230 weighs just 139 kg (kerb), which should make it quick and easy to maneuver off-road.

The KLX 230 Dual Sport is underpinned by a tubular steel frame and uses a 37 mm telescopic fork at the front with 240 mm of travel. At the rear there is a preload adjustable link-type monoshock with 250 mm of travel. The bike rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels shod with locally sourced MRF tyres. Ground clearance is 265 mm, making trail riding easy.

Braking performance comes from a 265 mm disc brake at the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear. The bike comes with switchable ABS, so you can switch off the rear mechanism to have some fun while going off-road. The Kawasaki KLX 230 is road-legal, which means it gets all the necessary headlamps and indicators as well as a fully digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity.

2025 Kawasaki KLX 230 Rivals

The new Kawasaki KLX 230 is a dedicated dual sport machine that differentiates itself from most off-roaders available in the country. This bike will be available in two colors – Lime Green and Battle Grey. In terms of competition, it will compete with Hero XPulse 200 4V.

Delhi High Court asks NHAI to fix representation on unfair highway toll collection

The Delhi High Court has asked the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to decide on a representation raising the issue of alleged unfair toll fee collection and establishment of toll plazas on highways across the country.

A bench of Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela was hearing a PIL on September 25 when it disposed of the plea, allowing the petitioner to file a comprehensive representation with the NHAI within two weeks.

The court said that the representations should be disposed of by the authorities within four weeks as per law.

Petitioner Anand Mishra, an advocate, said that as per the National Highway Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, NHAI is clearly barred from collecting toll on the semi-constructed portion of the highway and toll fee plazas cannot be established. Can be done. 60 kilometers.

“The respondent (NHAI) has and is still collecting undue wealth by charging unreasonable toll from passengers on the highways,” the plea said.

Therefore, the petitioner sought to direct NHAI to comply with Rules 3(2) and 8(2) of the National Highway Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008 with immediate effect throughout India.

The petition sought a direction to the court to conduct a survey and form a committee to calculate the amount of toll fee collected so far by NHAI by allegedly violating these rules and ensure that the amount collected is The amount spent should be returned immediately.

Rule 3(2) provides for commencement of collection of fee within 45 days from the date of completion of the section of National Highway, permanent bridge, bypass or tunnel, as the case may be, constructed through a publicly funded project .

On the other hand, Rule 8(2) states that no other toll plaza shall be established on the same stretch of the National Highway and within 60 kilometers in the same direction.

The petitioner had informed the court about giving a representation to the authorities in August but it was not acted upon.

The Trident 660 is built around a tubular steel perimeter frame with a two-way steel swingarm. The updated roadster has 41 mm Showa USD forks at the front, while a monoshock RSU has been installed at the rear. The Trident runs on five-spoke 17-inch cast aluminum wheels. Braking duties are handled by the same twin 310 mm disc at the front and single 255 mm disc at the rear.

Triumph Trident 660: Key features of the updated roadster

Triumph Motorcycles has fitted a new sensor system, called the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), which is said to continuously monitor and adjust engine and braking parameters. This allows features such as traction control, optimized cornering ABS and cruise control to be offered as standard on the motorcycle.

The Trident 660 has three different riding modes, with 'Sport' mode being the newest. This mode brings quicker throttle response while the 'Road' mode focuses on refinement. Triumph says the 'Rain' mode softens the Trident's power delivery to make it suitable for wet conditions.

Kupka said Prague would invite ministers and European Parliament members from other EU countries to support the campaign.

The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) also last month asked Brussels to “come forward with urgent relief measures before the new CO2 targets for cars and vans come into force in 2025”.

Europe is racing to produce more electric cars as part of its green transition, with an EU deadline to phase out the sale of fossil fuel-burning cars by 2035 approaching.

But after years of growth, electric car sales began to decline in late 2023, and now account for just 12.5 percent of new cars sold on the continent.

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday reviewed the progress of 21 ongoing National Highway projects spanning over 747 km in Kerala, the minister said in a post on social media platform “X”.

Union Minister Gadkari was accompanied by Union Minister of State (MoS) for Road Transport and Highways, Ajay Tamba and Minister of State (MoS) for Tourism and Petroleum and Natural Gas Suresh Gopi as well as senior officials at the new Bharat Mandapam. Delhi.

Three major greenfield NH projects are also in the pipeline. They are 4-lane Palakkad to Kozhikode section of NH-966, 4-lane Greenfield Road from Kochi to KL/TN border section of NH-85, and 4-lane Thiruvananthapuram – Kottarakarra – Kottayam – Angamaly (MC Road).

In his written reply in the Rajya Sabha last year, Gadkari had said that the Kerala government has agreed to share 25 per cent of the land acquisition cost of Rs 5748 crore for 16 ongoing projects on NH-66, of which Rs 5581 is Rs. Rs crore have been deposited.

Additionally, he said the Kerala government has also agreed to share 25 per cent of the land acquisition cost, amounting to Rs 4440 crore, for the upcoming three greenfield NH projects.

He said the state government has agreed to share 50 per cent cost of land acquisition, 100 per cent cost of service road and exemption from state GST and royalty for the Thiruvananthapuram Outer Ring Road section of NH-866.

According to the Minister, during the last 5 years, about 160 km of NH has been constructed by NHAI in the state of Kerala.

According to data shared by the ministry in January this year, India has about 66.71 lakh km of road network, the second largest in the world. The total length of national highways is 1,46,145 km.
