Value for Money
The codename of this new Maruti SUV is Y17 and will be positioned above the Brezza but under the Grand Vitara. It will be a flagship model for Maruti Arena dealers who have not received any new high-end product since the launch of Ertiga and Brezza. Being an Arenna offering, sources say that this SUV will have more value for more than its competition.
1.5-liter engine
Although there is no clarity about Paurtrain, we hope that the new Maruti Midsize SUV will have the same 1.5-liter engines-103hp Naturally Aspirated Petrol, 88HP CNG, and 116HP hybrid. Manual and automatic gearbox options can also be taken from Grand Vitara.
This new SUV will be sold in India and will be exported to foreign markets. Apart from this, there is also a discussion of a derivative of Toyota, which will go on sale after a while and will be positioned above Toyota Taisor in India.
Escudo name for Vitara SUV in Japan
Significantly, Maruti had a trademark named Escudo in India last year. Suzuki uses the name Escudo for the Vitara SUV in Japan. If it is kept for the Indian market, Escudo will be one of the two SUVs to be launched in Maruti in 2025, the other will be All-Electric E Vitara.
