Byd is about to launch the new electric SUV Atto 2 in India, which will compete with Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata CurvV EV and MG ZS EV. It has 45.1kwh battery and 15.6-inch touchscreen.

New Delhi. The world's leading electric vehicles (EV) manufacturer BYD currently have four models available for sale in India – Emax 7, Atto 3, Seal and Sealion. Now, the company is going to extend its Indian product portfolio and is preparing to launch its most affordable electric SUV – byd Atto 2. Although its launch in India has not been officially confirmed, it is expected that this electric SUV may come by the end of this year.

Compete with these cars
In the compact electric SUV segment, it will compete with Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata CurvV Ev, Mg ZS EV and upcoming Maruti E Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser.

45.1kwh battery pack

At the global level, Byd Atto 2 is available with 45.1kwh battery pack, connected with FWD electric motor, which generates 175bhp power and 290Nm torque. This EV claims a 380km NEDC range once charged once. It catches the speed of 0 to 100kmph in 7.9 seconds and its top speed is 160kmph. The SUV supports DC fast charger up to 65kw, which can charge the battery in 10% to 80% 35-40 minutes, and supports AC charging up to 11KW, which takes about 5.5 hours to fully charge.

15.6-inch rotating touchscreen
Like the interior and features other byd EVs, ATTO 2 has a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system and 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. The EV includes panoramic sunroof, many USB ports, connected car features, lady's upholstery, ambient lighting, many airbags, adas suits and more.
