Ertiga is at number one in terms of sales. A total of 19,063 new customers were received last month. This figure represents an impressive growth of 20 percent on an annual basis as compared to the total 15,781 units sold in April 2025.

Toyota Innova

Toyota Innova is at second place in terms of sales. A total of 9,630 units were sold last month. This figure represents an annual increase of 25 percent compared to the total 7,698 units sold in April 2025.

Kia Carens Clavis
Carens Clavis is at number three in the list. Last month it got a total of 5,465 new customers. This figure represents an annual increase of 3.9 percent compared to the total 5,260 units sold in April 2025.

Maruti XL6

XL6 is at fourth place in terms of sales. A total of 3,527 units were sold last month. This figure shows an annual decline of 14.8 percent compared to the total 4,140 units sold in April 2025.

Toyota Rumion

Rumian has registered its name in the list of top-5 seven-seater cars. Only 2,585 units were sold last month. This figure represents an annual increase of 5 percent compared to the total 2,462 units of Rumion sold in April 2025.

Apart from the top-5 cars of the segment mentioned above, 1,917 units of Renault Triber, 237 units of Maruti Suzuki Invicto and only 118 units of Toyota Vellfire were sold last month.

CNG option is also available. Talking about mileage, it is 20.51 KMPL in petrol and about 26.11 km/kg in CNG. For safety, it has 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP and hill hold. Features include touchscreen infotainment, rear AC vents and cruise control.

Mahindra Scorpio

Scorpio stood second. Its 14,719 units have been sold in April 2026. However, there was a decline of 5.2% in SAIL on an annual basis. Despite this, Scorpio retained 17.5% market share. Toyota Innova/Hycross

Mahindra XUV700

Its ex-showroom price starts at ₹ 8.80 lakh and goes up to ₹ 12.94 lakh for the top spec variant.

The design is modern, including a bold front grille and sleek LED lights. Spacious cabin, premium fabric/leatherette seats, 7-inch touchscreen, auto AC, cruise control, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, power windows, 6 airbags (top variants), ABS with EBD, ESP, rear camera and ISOFIX are part of its feature list. Its 1.5L petrol engine produces 103 PS power and 137 Nm torque. Customers can also buy it in CNG option with 5MT/6AT. Its mileage is 20.3-20.51 kmpl in petrol and 26.11 km/kg in CNG.

Toyota Innova

In terms of sales, Innova Highcross/Crysta is at second place. A total of 8703 units were sold last month. This figure shows a slight increase of 3 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 8449 units sold in February 2025.

Kia Carens Clavis

Kia Carens is at number three in the list. A total of 6815 units were sold last month. This figure shows an annual increase of 28.1 percent compared to the total 5318 units sold in February 2025.

Maruti Suzuki XL6

Maruti XL6 is at number four. Last month it got a total of 3633 new customers. This figure shows an annual increase of 93.5 percent compared to the total 1878 units sold in February 2025.

Toyota Rumion

Rumian has registered its name in the list of top-5 cars of the segment. A total of 2817 units were sold last month. This figure shows an annual increase of 34 percent compared to the total 2099 units sold in February 2025.

Apart from the top-5 cars of the segment mentioned above, last month in February 2026, 2419 units of Renault Triber, 145 units of Toyota Vellfire and only 143 units of Maruti Suzuki Invicto were sold.

This decline was mainly due to changes in GST and heavy rains in many states. All major car manufacturers saw negative growth, while Toyota, MG and Skoda recorded an annual cell growth of 2.5%, 43.9% and 79.3% respectively.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
In the 7-seater family car segment, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga emerged as a clear winner with a sales of 18,445 units, slightly lower than the 18,580 units sold in August 2024. Despite the slight decline, this MPV not only topped its segment, but also became India's best -selling car in August 2025.

Update Ertiga Model Lineup

Recently, the car manufacturer has updated the Ertiga model lineup, including blower speed control with dedicated vents for third roots, 2 Type-C USB ports, new AC vents and redesigned rear roof spiilers for the second and third roat seats. After the GST reform, the prices of Maruti Ertiga have fallen by Rs 47,000, and now its price starts at Rs 8.80 lakh.

Mahindra scorpio
With the sale of 9,840 units, Mahindra Scorpio finished second in India's 7-seater family cars. However, its annual cell fell by 29 percent. Toyota Innova finished third with a sales of 9,304 units, compared to 9,687 units in the same month last year.

Mahindra Bolero and XUV700

Mahindra Bolero and XUV700 finished fourth and sixth with the sale of 8,109 units and 4,956 units respectively. While Bolero saw a significant annual decline of 25%, the XUV 700 saw a rapid decline of 45%. Kia Carence (which includes the new Carerance Clvis and Carerance Clavis EV) registered a monthly sale of 6,822 units in August 2025, compared to 5,881 units in the same month last year. It was the fifth best-selling 7-seater with a huge annual growth of 16%.

These cars also included in the top 10
Maruti XL6, Toyota Fortuner and Reno Tribe finished seventh, eighth and ninth with sales of 2,973 units, 2,508 units and 1,870 units respectively. Finally, Tata Safari finished tenth with sales of 1,489 units, although it fell by 24% annually.
