The demand for CNG cars has created a new record in FY26. Maruti Suzuki's Ertiga achieved the number-1 position with highest sales, while there was a huge jump in the sales of Dzire and Nexon. Most Sold CNG Cars FY26: The demand for CNG cars is increasing with time in the Indian car market. Due to skyrocketing prices of diesel and petrol and continuously increasing pollution, people are shifting towards this fuel option. Talking about the sales of the last financial year, Maruti Suzuki was number-1 in the segment. At the same time, sales of Desire have also increased. Maruti Ertiga

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga: Ertiga is at number one in terms of sales. Last financial year, this 7-seater MPV got a total of 1,45,480 new customers. This figure represents an annual increase of 12 percent compared to the total 1,29,920 units sold in FY25.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire

Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Dzire is at number two in the list. A total of 1,35,330 people bought it in Financial Year 26. This figure represents an impressive growth of 52 percent year-on-year compared to the total 89,015 units sold in FY25.

Maruti Wagon R

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R: Wagon R is at number three in terms of sales. A total of 96,381 units have been sold in the financial year 2026. This figure reflects an annual decline of 5.6 percent compared to the total 1,02,128 units sold in FY25.

Maruti Brezza

Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Brezza is at number four in the sale. A total of 71,329 people bought it last financial year. This figure shows a marginal increase of 0.6 percent on an annual basis as compared to the total 70,928 units sold in FY25.

Tata Nexon

Tata Nexon: Nexon has registered its name in the top-5 list. A total of 69,168 units were sold in the last FY. This figure represents an increase of almost 100 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 34,700 units sold in FY25.

Cheapest CNG Cars in India

Apart from the top-5 cars of the segment mentioned above, last financial year, 67,468 units of Tata Punch, 66,675 units of Maruti Suzuki Eeco, 62,612 units of Hyundai Aura, 54,805 units of Maruti Suzuki Fronx and only 35,677 units of Maruti Suzuki Victoris were sold.

The 998 cc engine of Alto K10 generates 55.92 bhp power and 82.1 Nm torque on CNG. ARAI mileage is 33.85 km/kg.

The biggest feature of Wagon R is its tall-boy design, which makes it very spacious from inside. The rear passengers get good legroom and headroom. Features include 7-inch touchscreen, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, 6 airbags, automatic climate control and good safety. It is best for the family, because it has more space for luggage and provides comfort even in long journeys.

Our advice: Comparing these four cars, Alto K10 CNG and S-Presso CNG are the cheapest, while Wagon R CNG is ahead in space and Kwid CNG is better in style and ground clearance.
