Maruti Suzuki is preparing a facelift version of its popular compact SUV Brezza, which is expected to be launched by the end of 2026. Recently, its testing mule has been spotted on Indian roads with highly camouflage, the biggest reveal of which is the underbody CNG tank. This change will significantly increase the boot space as compared to the existing model, as the tank will now be placed below instead of the traditional tailgate-mounted CNG cylinder.

This update will make the Brezza more attractive to CNG buyers, especially those families who want practicality along with long drives. New Volkswagen Taigun has been introduced in the Indian market after a long wait. This is the first major facelift update of the compact SUV, which includes a new front design inspired by the Tiguan and Tayron. Production has started at the Pune plant and delivery is expected from May 2026.

Its pre-booking has started from today itself on the official website of Volkswagen India (volkswagen.co.in) or at the nearest dealership. The booking amount ranges from ₹11,000 to ₹50,000 depending on the variant. The company has not yet revealed the price, but the estimated ex-showroom price is expected to be between ₹ 10.99 lakh to ₹ 19.19 lakh. Let us take a look at the details from design to its engine and performance.

Design and dimensions

The design of Taigun facelift has become quite aggressive and premium. The front has a new bumper, sleeker grille, connected LED headlamps and illuminated VW logo, which is inspired by the larger Tiguan model. The GT variant gets a sportier look with black finish. New color options like red, white, silver and new green shade are available.

The side profile continues with the 17-18-inch alloy wheels and the light bars at the rear along with LED taillamps. Official information about the engine may be revealed at the time of debut. Tata Punch 2026 facelift will be launched on January 13, 2026 with new turbo petrol engine, smart features and increased price in six trims, will compete with Hyundai Exeter.

New Delhi. India's most affordable sub-4 meter SUV (or compact crossover) Tata Punch is going to get a midlife update tomorrow i.e. on January 13, 2026. Even before the announcement of the official prices, the updated model has started reaching the dealerships and the company has also revealed its variants and key features. The new Tata Punch 2026 facelift will come in six trims, which include Smart (new entry-level), Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Accomplished and Accomplished+.

Although the official prices will be announced tomorrow, the price of the 2026 Tata Punch facelift is expected to be slightly higher than the old model, whose current ex-showroom price ranges between Rs 5.50 lakh to Rs 9.30 lakh. The price of the new entry-level Smart+ variant can be around Rs 6 lakh. If this happens, the updated Punch may lose the title of India's most affordable SUV, as the Hyundai Exeter micro SUV is currently available between Rs 5.74 lakh and Rs 9.61 lakh. At the same time, the top-end variant of the new Punch can go up to around Rs 9.50 lakh.

Talking about engine setup, the new Tata Punch 2026 facelift will get a new 1.2 liter turbocharged petrol engine, which will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This engine is taken from Nexon and produces maximum power of 120PS and torque of 170Nm.

NA petrol and CNG options remain intact
The existing 1.2 liter petrol and 1.2 liter petrol + CNG powertrain options will also be available in the facelifted lineup. The naturally aspirated petrol engine delivers 88PS of power and 115Nm of torque, while the CNG variant delivers 73.5PS of power and 103Nm of torque. Transmission options will also remain the same as the old model, which includes 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual (AMT) gearbox.

Honda Cars India launches Elevate ADV variant in India, prices start at 15.29 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to Rs 16.66 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned as the top-end variant of the Japanese compact SUV, the Honda Elevate ADV edition comes with special cosmetic upgrades and equipment for buyers wanting a sportier package. It offers dual-tone shades and a bolder look, while mechanically remaining the same as the standard model.

Elevate ADV variant priced in single-tone exterior with manual gearbox going up to 15.29 lakhs ₹15.49 lakh for dual-tone color options. The range between CVT variants is 16.46 lakh (single-tone) and 16.66 lakh (dual-tone). All prices are ex-showroom.

The model comes with a standard warranty of three years unlimited kilometres, with the option to extend the coverage to 10 years through Honda's extended and anytime warranty packages.

What are the design changes in Honda Elevate ADV Edition?

The Elevate ADV edition features several distinctive design elements with orange highlights. Riding on black alloy wheels with orange accents, the model features a new Alfa-Bold Plus front grille with black surrounds, and it also has hood decals with orange highlights. The SUV benefits from black treatment on the roof rails, door handles, ORVMs and shark fin antenna along with 'ADV' badging on the fenders and orange accents around the fog lamps and rear skid garnish. The rear skid plate matches the body colour, while the dual-tone variant gets a blacked-out C-pillar and Crystal Black Pearl roof for a more premium touch.

The Honda Elevate ADV Edition is available in two exterior colours: Meteoroid Gray Metallic and Lunar Silver Metallic. Both options are offered in single and dual-tone finishes.

What does the interior of the Elevate ADV variant look like?

Stepping inside reveals a blacked-out cabin with orange detailing on the seats, door trim and gear shifter. The seats are finished in black with orange contrast stitching and embossed ADV logos at the front and rear, while the seat belt tongue-plates are finished in orange. The cabin gets orange highlights on the AC knob and gear knob molding, while the roof lining, sun visor and pillars are painted black. The model is also decorated with ADV-specific illuminated instrument panel garnish.

Elevate ADV version is powered by?

The ADV variant is powered by Honda's 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, available with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed CVT with paddle shifters. It retains the dimensions of the standard model, including 220 mm ground clearance, 458-litre boot, and focuses on practicality and long-term usability.

What is included in the technology and security suite of the Elevate ADV Edition?

The Indian sub-4 meter compact SUV segment will soon see many major changes, which will include new generation models. Some already popular subcompact SUVs will get generational upgrades in the coming years, such as the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO and the Kia Sonet.

The next-generation Hyundai Venue will go on sale on November 4, 2025. The popular Tata Nexon and Kia Sonet will enter their new generation in 2027, while the Mahindra XUV 3XO will undergo a major makeover in 2028. Nexon The second generation Tata Nexon will be based on the existing X1 platform. The compact SUV may get a curve-inspired design and many new features. The 1.2L turbo petrol engine will be taken from the current generation. However, it remains to be seen whether the diesel engine will continue in the next generation or not.

With its generational upgrade, the Maruti Brezza will become hybrid. According to media reports, the 2029 Maruti Brezza will be powered by the brand's in-house developed 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z12E petrol engine, paired with a strong hybrid system. However, this may be limited to higher trims. The existing petrol engine may also be on offer.

The new generation Mahindra XUV 3XO may be based on the Vision X concept, which was showcased on August 15, 2025. It can also switch to the new NU_IQ platform, which is compatible with multiple powertrains.

The next-generation Kia Sonet may have a completely redesigned exterior, more upmarket interiors and new technology. No mechanical changes are expected. It will continue with 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines.

The setup includes 6-speaker audio systems and additional subworms, which claims to offer a cinematic soundscape with deep base and better sound clarity.

Delivery will start in September
The delivery of all four Dolby Atmos-loaded variants will start in the mid-September 2025. With this additional feature, Mahindra XUV 3xo has become the fourth vehicle series of Mahindra with a dolby atomos feature, before the Be 6 and XEV 9E Electric Origin SUVs and Thar Roxx.

Prices and variants

The Mahindra XUV 3xo compact SUV lineup is currently available at a price of Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 15.80 lakh (all, ex-showroom). The price of new Revx, AX5L, AX7 and AX7L variants starts from Rs 8.94 lakh, Rs 12.62 lakh, Rs 12.79 lakh and Rs 13.99 lakh respectively.

Three engine options
Compact SUV comes with three engine options – 117bhp, 1.5L diesel, 131bhp, 1.2L direct injection turbo petrol and 111bhp, 1.2L turbo petrol. Transmission options include 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter.
