Maruti Suzuki's most popular compact SUV Brezza is going to get its first major facelift in 2026. The company has teased it for the first time and has also started booking. Nissan has made a strong claim in terms of safety by launching its new compact SUV Tecton in the Indian market. Nissan Tecton has achieved full 5 star rating in Bharat NCAP crash test. This SUV is the corporate twin of Renault Duster, which is built on the same platform (RGMP). Tecton scored 30.49 points out of 32 in adult occupant protection and 45 out of 49 points in child occupant protection. The dashboard layout will remain almost the same, but touch-based HVAC controls and premium feel will increase.

The 10.1-inch updated touchscreen infotainment will be offered with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android. Wireless charging, auto climate control, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control will be included in the feature list. Rear seat massage function (unique in the segment) and AI integration with connected car technology is also possible in the top trim.

The 1.2-liter turbo engine in the petrol version is available with different gearbox, while petrol-CNG option and 1.5-liter diesel are also available in both manual and automatic. Tata has also introduced its new twin-cylinder CNG technology, which enhances boot space and targets buyers who want less running cost.

In the case of features, Nexon includes LED headlamps, ventilated seats, 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Digital Instrument Cluster, Connected Tech, Voice-Assisted Sunroof and wireless charging. The safety kit includes six airbags, 360-degree camera, blind view monitor, ESP, tire pressure monitoring, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and fog lamps with cornering.
