Skoda Auto India started booking Skoda Kylaq on 2 December and so far 20,000 bookings have been received. This SUV is available in four variants and has more than 25 safety features.

New Delhi. Skoda Auto India started booking for the new sub-4 meter compact SUV, Skoda Kylaq on 2 December. As soon as the booking opened, customers looted the love on this car. According to PTI report, Skoda Keelak has so far received 20,000 bookings. The SUV has touched this figure of booking in less than two months. The first 10,000 bookings came in just 10 days.

Skoda Keelaq managed to make a place in the hearts of customers despite popular models like Kia Cyros, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Vennet, Kia Sonnet and Mahindra XUV, despite being in the market of customers. The company has entered the extremely competition with Keelaq in the SUV segment.

The cabin has air vent, touch-based climate control and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. The 10.1 -inch Central Infotainment System supports wireless Android auto and Apple CarPlay, while the car is given ventilated seats for the driver and the front passenger. Kylaq comes with single-pain sunroof, keys entry, wireless smartphone charging and cooled glovebox. Depending on the variant, you will get the option of cruise control and steering-mounted paddle shifters, ladorate upholsters and single or dual-tone interior design for automatic transmission.

Talking about safety features, Kylaq is equipped with more than 25 active and passive safety features as standard. These include 6 airbags, tractions and stability controls, ABS with EBD, rollover protection, motor slip regulation and essential safety features like ISOFIX Child Mount.

Seeing the popularity of electric cars, Kia India is also preparing to strengthen its hold in this segment. The company aims to achieve annual sales of 4 lakh units in India by the year 2030. Under this plan, Kia India is going to launch a new electric car in the first half of 2025, which could be Kia Carens EV.

Carens EV may be launched
Kia Carens EV is expected to be launched in the second half of next year i.e. 2025. According to media reports, this car can provide a driving range of more than 500 kilometers on a single charge. Apart from this, the Kia Carens EV will have a fully digital instrument console, automatic climate control, ventilated seats, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Security Features
In terms of safety, features like 6-airbags and level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) will be included in Kia Carens EV. Apart from this, the car will also have a panoramic sunroof, which will give it a premium touch.

Kia's new compact SUV
Kia India is also developing a new compact SUV, which may be named Kia Syros. This SUV will be placed above the Sonet in the company's lineup and will target customers who want a slightly larger and more premium option than the Sonet.

New models like Kia Carens EV and Sciros are expected to further strengthen Kia's hold in the Indian market and further improve its position in the electric vehicle segment.
