There is good news for polo lovers. New VW Polo Electric has been launched. The launch price of the new VW Polo Electric is 25,000 Euro (approximately Rs 28 lakh). This 4 meter long compact electric hatchback is a fully electric version of VW's popular Polo, which will be called ID.Polo or ID. Will be known as Polo. It is built on the MEB+ platform and deliveries are scheduled to begin in Europe in late 2026. Pre-sales have started in Germany.

The company claims that this price will help in taking electric mobility to the common people. The variant with the 52 kWh battery has a range of up to 455 kilometers (WLTP), while the price of the base 37 kWh LFP battery variant will start at 25,000 euros. There is no official announcement of its launch in India yet, but its price is expected to be around Rs 28 lakh. It will offer more space and better features than the current ICE Polo. Design

The design of the new VW Polo Electric is modern and attractive. It has top-mounted DRLs, illuminated VW logo, sleek headlamps and a closed-off grille. Prominent slotted bumper, blacked-out ORVMs, side skirts and dual-tone alloy wheels give it a sporty look. There are circular wheel arches, rear door handles on the C-pillar, a gently sloping roofline and a charging port on the right front fender. Connected tail lamps and illuminated 'Polo' badging is provided at the rear. Overall, it is inspired by the ID.2all concept and looks perfect for the city.

Its cabin is based on pure positive design language. In this, physical buttons have been kept for climate control and audio, which the users will like. The 10-inch digital instrument cluster has a retro display mode. It can be purchased in three trim options—Trend, Life and Style. Boot space is 441 liters (up from 351 liters in the ICE Polo), which expands to 1,243 liters with the seats folded. Optional features like panoramic glass roof and pneumatic massage seats are available.

Features and safety

The 13-inch central infotainment screen supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Wireless phone charging is available from the Life trim onwards. Dual zone climate control and sport comfort seats are also provided. Vehicle to Load (V2L) function is standard, allowing charging of electric devices outside.

Safety features include lane assist, side assist (from Trend trim), adaptive cruise control and rear camera (from Life trim). The Style trim gets LED matrix headlights and 3D taillamps. Advanced safety technologies like Connected Travel Assist are also available.

Battery, Motor and Range

The car will come with two battery options – 37 kWh LFP and 52 kWh NMC. A 155 kW (211 PS) motor is available with a 52 kWh battery, which gives a range of 455 km (WLTP). The base variant has a 37 kWh battery with an 85 kW (116 PS) or 99 kW (135 PS) motor, with a range of about 329 km. DC fast charging supports up to 90-105 kW. The 37 kWh battery charges from 10-80% in about 27 minutes and the 52 kWh battery in 24 minutes. It has been introduced with front-wheel drive system. Later, a GTI variant with 166 kW (226 PS) will also be introduced.

New Delhi. MG Motor has re -increased the prices of COMET EV. This year, this is the third price hike for micro electric hatch. With an increase in the latest update by up to Rs 15,000, the prices of COMET EV now start with Rs 7.50 lakh (including ex-showroom, battery). Under the Battery Az A Service (BAAS) model, COMET EV prices start at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Baas model battery subscription
Apart from this, according to the Baas model, the prices of battery subscription have been increased from Rs 2.9 per km to Rs 3.1 per km. At the start of this scheme, the battery fare for COMET EV was Rs 2.50 per km. COMET EV is available in four trims: Executive, Excite, Exclusive, and Blackstorm Edition. Safety features
For safety, it includes dual front airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), all 4 disc brakes, hill-hold assist, isofix child seat mounts, reverse parking camera and sensor, and electronic parking brakes. The COMET EV gets power from the 17.4 kwh battery pack which gives energy to the electric motor on the rear axle, which gives 41 bhp and 110 Nm torque.
