250 KM range…recharge in 3 minutes, EV cheaper than Nano has arrived! 5 people will sit comfortably

Blinq Mobility, an EV startup company based in Gurugram, is preparing to give a new direction to electric mobility on Indian roads. The company is currently developing an EV model which can recharge a range of more than 250 km in just 2 minutes 48 seconds. This can prove to be a game-changer for busy city life and fleet operators.

This micro EV is going to be available around the price of three-wheelers, which will make it easier for the common man and ride-hailing drivers to buy an EV. There is a plan to reduce the cost of the vehicle by 40% by keeping the battery in BaaS model. Blinq's focus is on urban commute, low maintenance and zero downtime, which directly targets India's EV adoption challenges. The prototype has already completed road testing and the company is developing a network of swapping stations. Let's take a look at its design, powertrain and range details.

Design and interior

Blinq's EV is compact and perfect for the city. This is a micro car with a modified look like Tata Nano, which includes LED headlights, gloss black front strip and Blinq logo. Body panels made from proprietary composite materials are lighter, stronger and better than steel, reducing weight and tooling costs. Built on a skateboard platform, this car can easily maneuver on crowded roads, while its attractive and modern look will attract young buyers.

Its interior is spacious and ergonomic, offering 5 seating capacity. Comfortable seating, clean finish and silent cabin make long drives easy. 'Swap' or 'S' mode can be activated from the rotary controller on the dashboard. With premium touch and practical storage it is suitable for both family and fleet use.

Features and safety

The car includes power steering, air conditioner, touchscreen infotainment, battery saver mode and convenience features. Apart from battery swapping, plug-in charging is also supported. Additional operational features will be provided in the fleet version. It is equipped with AI and smart technology, which increases efficiency.

Giving priority to safety, four-point seat belts, crash absorbing structure, ABS, hill assist, speed alert and other safety systems have been provided. Robotic arms, wheel clamps and multiple safety checks in the swapping process ensure that the battery remains safe.

Powertrain and range

It is built on a dedicated EV platform. Battery capacity is not yet officially announced, but after the swap, 252 km range was shown on the instrument cluster. Let us tell you that through battery swapping technology, more than 250 km range can be recharged in just 2 minutes 48 seconds. This is an easier way to replace the entire battery than traditional fast charging. Here the talk is not about charging but about battery swapping in just 2 minutes 48 seconds.

Note- We do not yet have any official information regarding this upcoming car of Blinq Mobility. We have collected the above information from media reports.

VinFast Green SM is coming to India.

Vietnam's electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast is preparing to launch a fully electric taxi service in India under its mobility arm Green and Smart Mobility (Green SM/GSM). This step can bring a big change in India's automotive and urban transportation sector.

The company has started recruitment of driver partners in Delhi-NCR. According to reports, Green SM is planning to deploy a fleet of around 10,000 VinFast electric vehicles, which will mainly include the Limo Green 7-seater electric MPV. In the initial phase, it may start with 1,000 vehicles in Delhi-NCR, after which there will be expansion in cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Fares lower than Ola, Uber

The specialty of the service is low fares. According to some sources, the travel fee will be kept at around Rs 8 per kilometer. The company will move away from the traditional aggregator model and adopt a model of company-owned vehicles and trained drivers, which will provide better control over vehicle condition, maintenance, charging infrastructure and service quality. There will be no system like surge pricing, which can prove attractive for passengers.

golden job opportunity

Drivers can be offered a salary of Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000 per month, along with insurance and other facilities. The recruitment drive mainly focuses on NCR. Vinfast will ensure supply of vehicles from its Tamil Nadu plant, which will promote local manufacturing.

BluSmart has failed

This launch is taking place at a time when the country's leading electric cab player BluSmart had suspended operations some time ago. This has increased the demand for premium and reliable electric mobility. In direct competition with players like Ola, Uber and Rapido, Green SM will try to differentiate itself through 100% electric fleet, better control and sustainable mobility.

Auto experts believe that if the company keeps the charging network, vehicle uptime and customer experience strong, then it can give a new impetus to India's EV ecosystem. Vinfast has already planned market entry of passenger vehicles in India. This step of Green SM is an indication of the company's deep partnership in India.
