Maruti Ertiga, despite being a bit expensive (starting from ₹ 8.80 lakh), has remained the most favorite family car in this segment for the last many years. 1. Better power and performance

Maruti Ertiga has a 1.5-litre K15C smart hybrid engine, which gives 102 bhp power and 136.8 Nm torque. Whereas both Renault Triber and Nissan Gravite have 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine, which gives only 71-72 bhp power and about 96-97 Nm torque.

Even with seven occupants, the Ertiga feels more comfortable and confident in overtaking and long driving on the highway. Triber and Gravite are fine for the city, but the engine seems to struggle under full load. Ertiga's smooth hybrid system also provides extra boost.

2. More space and practicality

The Ertiga is a full-size MPV, which is significantly larger than the Triber/Gravite in length, width and wheelbase. This gives passengers more leg room, head room and shoulder room in the second and third rows. The family gets less tired during long trips.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is the only MPV in India to cross the 2 lakh mark with sales of 1,98,876 units in FY26. This shows an annual growth of 4.1% compared to the previous financial year. It has achieved about 41% market share in the MPV segment. It continues to be popular among families and fleet operators due to its reliability, space and low running costs.

The starting ex-showroom price of Ertiga in Delhi starts at ₹8.80 lakh, while the top variant (ZXi+ AT) goes up to ₹12.94 lakh. Its on-road price ranges from around ₹10 lakh to ₹15 lakh (depending on variant, transmission and CNG option). Both petrol and CNG options are available, making it budget-friendly. Design and interior

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is a practical and family-oriented MPV. With 4395 mm length, 1735 mm width and 2740 mm wheelbase, it looks stable and big on the road. Its high ground clearance (about 180-185 mm) is suitable for Indian roads.
