Maruti Suzuki Eeco (0 stars): Maruti's most reliable commercial and family van, the Eeco, fails on the safety front. It has got 0 stars in adult occupant protection. According to the crash test report, despite the presence of airbags, the risk of injury to the driver's chest and knees remains high. Its body shell was also found to be very weak.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso (1 star): Maruti Suzuki S-Presso got 0 stars in 2020, but after the update it has now got 1 star rating. Mahindra Bolero Neo (1 star): Mahindra is popular for its strong cars, but Bolero Neo surprised everyone in the crash test. It has got only 1 star by Global NCAP. In this, the rating for side impact protection and child safety was very poor. Despite looking strong, it has not met the technical safety standards.
How to choose a safe car: Cars with 0 or 1 star rating meet basic safety norms but prove to be poor in saving the lives of passengers in serious accidents. While buying a car, do not just look at the looks, but also check the features like NCAP rating, 6 airbags, ESC and ABS.
