Creta-Seltos tension increased! Honda Elevate Facelift will enter the market soon

Honda Cars India is preparing to give a mid-life update to its popular compact SUV Honda Elevate. Recently, a heavily camouflaged test mule was spotted in Delhi, which looks like it is the new Elevate Facelift. It was first launched in September 2023 and now after about three years it is going to come in facelift avatar.

This update will mainly focus on styling, features and some comfort enhancements. Honda has already launched City facelift and is planning to launch Elevate also this year. The competition has become tougher with models like Creta, Seltos, Kushaq and Grand Vitara, so Honda wants to strengthen the Elevate by adding new features like 360-degree camera, ventilated seats and better ADAS. Let's take a look at its design and engine-performance updates.

Design and interior updates

Heavy camouflage was seen on the test mule, which suggests that there will be changes in the front bumper, grill and lighting elements of the vehicle. The graphics of the tail lamps at the rear may be revised, along with the option of edge-to-edge lightbar is also possible. New alloy wheels and revised fog lamp housings are also coming. The overall look will be more modern and premium, although the basic silhouette will remain the same.

Better materials, ambient lighting and improved NVH insulation are expected to give the interior a more premium feel. Comfort features like ventilated seats can come in standard or higher variants. The cabin space and 458 liters of boot space will remain as practical as before.

Features and Updates

Major updates are confirmed to include a 360-degree camera system. Things like wireless charging, a larger touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and possibly a powered driver's seat could be added. ADAS Level-2 can be further strengthened.

For safety, it will have 6 airbags, Honda Sensing ADAS (Adaptive Cruise, Lane Keep Assist), ESC, Hill Start Assist as standard. In the facelift, ADAS can be made radar-based and more advanced. Structural safety will remain as strong as before.

Engine and Performance

Its 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine (121 PS power, 145 Nm torque) will remain intact. Will be available with 6-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission. Mileage will be good (about 15-17 kmpl). Hybrid variant may come later, but for now petrol option will remain the main one. Performance will remain smooth and reliable. The price is expected to be between ₹11 lakh to ₹17 lakh. This SUV will be attractive for those customers who want space, reliability and now better features.
