E100 fuel, ADAS and 6 airbags! Hyundai Venue comes in a new avatar; know the price

Hyundai Motor has launched the new fourth generation i20 in Brazil. This model comes with positioning between HB20 hatchback and Creta SUV. The look of the new i20 is now in crossover-style. Its length is 4,130 mm, wheelbase is 2,580 mm, ground clearance is 165 mm, making it suitable for city and light off-road. This car built on K3 platform gives strong body, better handling and high safety.

The starting price of the base variant Comfort in Brazil is BRL 99,990 (approximately ₹ 18.77 lakh), while the top variants can go around ₹ 22-25 lakh. The ex-showroom price of the current i20 in the Indian market ranges between ₹ 6-11.5 lakh, so the Brazil version is quite expensive due to premium features, ADAS and crossover styling. There it will compete with rivals like Fiat Pulse and VW Tera. Let's take a look at its design and engine-performance details.

Design and interior

The design of the new i20 is quite bold and angular. The front has a full-width light bar with Y-shaped LED DRLs, sharp headlamps and a muscular bonnet. The side profile is high and boxy, while the rear gets C-shaped lights and connected light bars. Many users like this SUV-inspired stance, although some are calling it like old Fiat models. Overall, it looks more adventurous and modern than the previous sleek look.

Talking about the interior, its cabin is spacious and premium. Twin 12.3-inch displays (instrument cluster + infotainment) are provided. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, high quality materials, good fit-finish and ample leg-headroom are available. The 5-seater layout is perfect for family use.

Features and safety

Full of modern comfort features. It gets features like wireless charging, Bose audio (in top variants), power folding mirrors, cruise control, keyless entry. Connected car technology and multiple USB ports are also available.

For safety, it gets Level-2 safety with Hyundai SmartSense ADAS suite. Features include Forward Collision Avoidance, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance, Lane Keeping and Lane Following Assist, six airbags, 360° camera (in some variants) and strong K3 platform structure.

Engine and Performance

Brazil-specific flex-fuel options include a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine (80 hp) with manual and a 1.0-litre turbo (115-120 hp) with automatic transmission. The turbo variant gives good pickup and highway performance. Fuel efficiency is expected to be good. The K3 platform ensures superior ride quality and handling.

A new teaser of Next-Gen Hyundai i20 has surfaced.

Hyundai is preparing the next generation of its popular premium hatchback i20. The company has recently released its first official teaser, in which interior details have also been revealed. The new i20 will be given a premium feel with sharp LED lighting signature, futuristic design and modern technology.

This model is going to be more stylish, tech-loaded and comfortable than the current generation. The global debut is expected soon, while the India launch could happen in late 2026 or early 2027. The new i20 is ready to compete with Maruti Baleno and other competitors. The popularity of the car is likely to increase further due to the interior updates seen in the teaser. Let's take a look at its possible details.

exterior design updates

The teaser shows the front of the new i20 with arrow-shaped LED headlamps and Y-shaped DRLs, which are connected to a full-width light bar. This design gives a sporty look like Lamborghini. Boomerang-shaped LED taillights and connected light bars will be available in the rear. The silhouette of the car will be more upright and boxy, which will increase road presence. With new alloy wheels and sharp body lines, it will look more attractive than before.

Interior and cabin features

The biggest change in the interior is the curved dual-screen setup. In this, infotainment and digital instrument cluster will be integrated together. The new dashboard layout, updated steering wheel and premium upholstery will give the car a luxury feel. Rear AC vents, better material quality and spacious cabin will be the specialties of the new i20. The interiors seen in the spy shots seem to follow the modern theme like the current Venue.

Technology and safety features

Level-2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, advanced infotainment system (12.3-inch touchscreen) and connectivity features can be provided in the new i20. Other updates may include wireless charging, high-quality audio and multiple driving modes. These features will make i20 a leader in the segment.

Powertrain and launch updates

There may be updated petrol engine options in the powertrain. However, there is also talk of a hybrid variant. It can be launched in India around Diwali or till the end of 2026 FIFA World Cup. Prices are likely to be slightly above the current model, but will offer value for money. The official launch is awaited, but it is clear from the teaser that the company has focused specifically on design, comfort and technology.
