E100 fuel, ADAS and 6 airbags! Hyundai Venue comes in a new avatar; know the price

Hyundai Motor has launched the new fourth generation i20 in Brazil. This model comes with positioning between HB20 hatchback and Creta SUV. The look of the new i20 is now in crossover-style. Its length is 4,130 mm, wheelbase is 2,580 mm, ground clearance is 165 mm, making it suitable for city and light off-road. This car built on K3 platform gives strong body, better handling and high safety.

The starting price of the base variant Comfort in Brazil is BRL 99,990 (approximately ₹ 18.77 lakh), while the top variants can go around ₹ 22-25 lakh. The ex-showroom price of the current i20 in the Indian market ranges between ₹ 6-11.5 lakh, so the Brazil version is quite expensive due to premium features, ADAS and crossover styling. There it will compete with rivals like Fiat Pulse and VW Tera. Let's take a look at its design and engine-performance details.

Design and interior

The design of the new i20 is quite bold and angular. The front has a full-width light bar with Y-shaped LED DRLs, sharp headlamps and a muscular bonnet. The side profile is high and boxy, while the rear gets C-shaped lights and connected light bars. Many users like this SUV-inspired stance, although some are calling it like old Fiat models. Overall, it looks more adventurous and modern than the previous sleek look.

Talking about the interior, its cabin is spacious and premium. Twin 12.3-inch displays (instrument cluster + infotainment) are provided. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, high quality materials, good fit-finish and ample leg-headroom are available. The 5-seater layout is perfect for family use.

Features and safety

Full of modern comfort features. It gets features like wireless charging, Bose audio (in top variants), power folding mirrors, cruise control, keyless entry. Connected car technology and multiple USB ports are also available.

For safety, it gets Level-2 safety with Hyundai SmartSense ADAS suite. Features include Forward Collision Avoidance, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance, Lane Keeping and Lane Following Assist, six airbags, 360° camera (in some variants) and strong K3 platform structure.

Engine and Performance

Brazil-specific flex-fuel options include a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine (80 hp) with manual and a 1.0-litre turbo (115-120 hp) with automatic transmission. The turbo variant gives good pickup and highway performance. Fuel efficiency is expected to be good. The K3 platform ensures superior ride quality and handling.

The new Creta is going to be much more advanced than before.

The next generation model of Hyundai's most popular mid-size SUV Creta is going to make a splash in the Indian market soon. Recently, in a social media video, the Next Gen Hyundai Creta (internally codenamed SX3) was seen testing with the older model. This video is very much discussed because in it, major changes in the design and features of the new Creta are clearly visible.

The second generation Creta has been the king in the Indian market for many years. Now the company is preparing to make it more modern, muscular and equipped with technology. The new Creta is expected to be launched in 2027. The new generation will come with larger dimensions, new platform and hybrid powertrain, which will make it stronger in the segment. Let us know with what changes it can be introduced?

Big changes seen in testing

In a viral video on social media, the new Creta was seen next to the old Creta. This clearly shows that the new SUV is going to be much bigger than the old model. Hyundai is going to give a bold, muscular and rugged look to the new Creta. The new generation will be built on the global K3 platform, which is stronger and more advanced than the current architecture. Due to this platform, the safety, handling and ride quality of the SUV is expected to improve.

Design Updates

Major design changes will be seen in the new Creta. It is seen in the video that it will get a redesigned front grille, new LED headlamps, LED DRLs and a new hood. The side profile will have a sloping roofline, which will give it a sportier look. There will be redesigned taillights and bumpers at the rear. The new Creta will follow Hyundai's new global design language, which is inspired by electric vehicles. It will also have aerodynamic alloy wheels, which can be available in 18 inch and 19 inch sizes.

Powertrain and performance

Mechanically, the new Creta will retain the existing engine options. It will have 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel engines. These engines will be available with manual, IVT, DCT and torque converter automatic gearbox. The biggest update will be the stronger hybrid powertrain. Hyundai will pair the 1.5-litre petrol engine with two electric motors and a small battery pack. This will give excellent mileage in city traffic. This hybrid system will give direct competition to Maruti Grand Vitara.

launch timeline

Likely to be launched in 2027, the new Creta will further strengthen Hyundai's hold in the Indian SUV market. Large dimensions, new design, advanced platform and hybrid options will make it different from competitors. Creta is already one of the best selling vehicles in the mid-size SUV segment. The new generation will take its looks, comfort, technology and efficiency to the next level.
