Hyundai will increase the prices of its cars from June 1.

Hyundai Motor India has announced price increase on its entire product portfolio from June 1, 2026. This decision has been taken due to the continuous increase in raw materials, production costs and other operating expenses. The company had informed in the month of April itself that there would be an increase of about one percent, which is now being implemented from June 2026.

Hyundai says that the company is not passing the entire burden on the customers, but is only including a part of the additional cost in the prices. This increase will maintain the profitability of the company and will help in bringing better technology products in future. The rising prices of steel, aluminum and electronic components in the Indian automobile market have affected all the companies. Let us know how expensive can the different models be made?

Model wise growth estimates

Hyundai has not officially announced the exact increase for each model, but based on experts and market estimates the increase could be as follows

  • Hyundai Creta: ₹8,000 to ₹12,800
  • Hyundai Venue: ₹6,000 to ₹10,500
  • Hyundai i20: ₹5,500 to ₹9,000
  • Hyundai Alcazar: ₹9,000 to ₹12,000
  • Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Aura: ₹4,000 to ₹7,500
  • Hyundai Tucson and Ioniq 5: ₹10,000 to ₹12,800

Note: The exact amount of increase will depend on the variant (Base, Mid, Top). The increase is likely to be less on entry level variants and more on high-end variants.

Why is it increasing?

The company had informed the stock exchange in April that it was going to increase the price by about 1% from May, but keeping in mind the market situation and customers, it was postponed to June 1. Hyundai clarified that it is not passing on the entire additional expense to customers, but only a portion.

advice for customers

Customers who book and take delivery by May 31, 2026, can get the benefit of the old prices. The new prices will be applicable to those purchasing from June. Hyundai's popular models like Creta, Venue, i20 and Alcazar are expected to be affected the most, as these are the company's best-selling vehicles.

This increase is common in the Indian auto industry. Other companies like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and Mahindra also keep making similar price adjustments from time to time. Hyundai says that they are continuously working on cost control measures so that customers can get better value in future.

Hyundai's shock to customers! This family SUV suddenly became expensive

The prices of Hyundai Venue have been increased once again. Recently, Hyundai Motor India has increased the prices of its popular SUV by Rs 5,200 to Rs 20,000 depending on the selected variants. After this second price hike, Venue can now be purchased at an ex-showroom price ranging from ₹ 7.99 lakh to ₹ 15.69 lakh (ex-showroom).

The biggest increase has been in the HX5 1.2 liter petrol MT variant, whose new price has become ₹ 9.55 lakh, which is Rs 20,000 more than before. The price of HX6 1.0 liter turbo-petrol DCT and its dual-tone variant has increased by Rs 9,000. The price of HX5 1.0 liter Turbo DCT has increased by ₹ 8,900, while several diesel variants (HX2, HX5, HX7 etc.) have seen a hike of ₹ 8,000. Additionally, the HX8 1.0 liter Turbo DCT variant has received a marginal increase of Rs 5,200.

design details

The exterior design of the new Venue is bold and modern, which gives it a distinct identity in the sub-compact SUV segment. Parametric jewel LED headlamps and LED DRLs have been provided in the front, which give a great look at night. The new cascading grille, sculpted bonnet and muscular wheel arches give it an aggressive appeal.

Sharp crease lines in the side profile, roof rails and 16-inch alloy wheels (depending on variant) make it sporty. The LED taillamps at the rear, connected light bar and roof spoiler attract young buyers. Venue is available in dual tone color options.

Cabin and Comfort

The interior of Venue is quite premium and spacious. Soft-touch material, high-quality plastic and silver accents have been used on the dashboard. The driver-oriented cabin has a flat-bottom steering wheel, digital instrument cluster and a large touchscreen infotainment system.

The seats are comfortable and suitable for long drives with good cushioning. Rear seat passengers get ample leg room and head room. The boot space is also practical, enough for daily use or weekend trips. The ambient lighting, dual-tone interior theme and good build quality give the cabin a luxurious feel.

Features and safety

Hyundai Venue is loaded with features, making it value for money. Highlights include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, Bose premium sound system, ventilated front seats, sunroof, wireless charger, automatic climate control, cruise control and digital cluster. Remote access, geo-fencing and voice commands are available through connected car technology Hyundai Bluelink. It also gets 360-degree camera, heads-up display and multiple drive modes.

Venue does not make any compromise in terms of safety. It has 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and rear parking sensors. Advanced features include Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Basic safety features like ISOFIX child seat anchorages and seatbelt reminder are also standard. Hyundai's strong body structure and crash test performance make the Venue reliable as a family car.

Engine and Mileage

Venue comes with three engine options, which cater to different needs. The first is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 83 PS of power and is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The second 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 120 PS power, which comes mated to a 7-speed DCT automatic. The third is a 1.5-litre diesel engine, which produces 116 PS power and can be bought with a 6-speed manual or automatic. Its maximum claimed mileage is up to 24 KMPL.
