Global demand for Indian cars increased, Maruti Suzuki Fronx became the king of exports.

The popularity of cars made in the Indian market is continuously increasing in foreign markets also. This has been revealed in the export report for the financial year 2025-26. If we talk about the total exported cars in the financial year 2026, then 8,20,119 units of these have been sent to the foreign market. This figure shows an annual increase of 18.94 percent compared to the total 6,89,513 units sold in FY25.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx is at number one in terms of exports. Apart from this, demand for vehicles like Jimny and Verna has also increased in the foreign market. On the other hand, the export of cars like Baleno has decreased. Let us take a look at the model-wise export data.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx

Franks is at number one in terms of exports. In the last financial year, a total of 90,186 units were sent to foreign markets. This figure represents an annual increase of 30.45 percent compared to the total 69,133 units exported in FY25.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny

The second largest car sent to foreign markets is Jimny. Its 72,209 units were exported in the last financial year. This figure represents an annual increase of 50.49 percent as compared to 47,982 units shipped in FY25.

Hyundai Verna

Verna is at number three in the list. Its 63,044 units were sent abroad in the financial year 2026. This figure shows an annual increase of 19.82 percent compared to the total 52,615 units exported in FY25.

Nissan Magnite

In terms of exports, Magnite is at number four. A total of 56,704 units have been exported in the financial year 2026. This figure represents a spectacular increase of 94.49 percent on an annual basis as compared to 29,155 units shipped in FY25.

Maruti Swift

Swift is at number five in the list. Its 53,661 units have been exported in the financial year 2026. This figure shows an annual increase of 49.26 percent compared to 35,952 units in FY25.

Apart from the top-5 cars mentioned above, 53,181 units of Grand i10, 41,032 units of Baleno, 40,979 units of Dzire, 40,751 units of Aura and 40,210 units of S Presso have been exported in FY 2026.

This figure shows an impressive increase of 36 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 57,026 units shipped to the foreign market in January 2025. On one hand, Maruti Fronx was the car sent to the foreign market the most in January 2025. At the same time, exports of Maruti Jimny, S-Presso, Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 have also increased. As told to you, Franks is at number one. Last month, a total of 10,938 units were sent to the foreign market. This figure shows an impressive increase of 37.91 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 7931 units exported in January 2025.

Maruti Jimny is at second place in terms of exports. Last month the company exported a total of 7970 units. This figure represents a spectacular increase of 307 percent on an annual basis as compared to 1958 units shipped in January 2025.

Maruti Espresso

Espresso is at number three in the list. 6687 units of this small car were exported last month. This figure shows an increase of 175 percent on an annual basis as compared to 2429 units sent abroad in January 2025.

Maruti Swift

Maruti Swift is at fourth place in terms of exports. A total of 5589 units of this hatchback were exported last month. This figure represents an impressive increase of 40 percent on an annual basis as compared to the total 3982 units shipped in January 2025.

Hyundai Grand i10

Hyundai Grand i10 is at the last position in the top-5 list. Last month, a total of 4827 units were sent abroad. This figure shows an impressive increase of 69.61 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 2846 units exported in January 2025.

Apart from the top-5 cars mentioned above, last month there were 4734 units of Hyundai Verna, 3839 units of Maruti Dezire, 3240 units of Toyota Hayrider, 3229 units of Maruti Baleno, 2986 units of Maruti Celerio, 2940 units of Maruti E Vitara, 2359 units of Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Aura. 2344 units, 2343 units of Maruti Ertiga, 1478 units of Maruti Victoris, 1072 units of Maruti Eeco have gone to foreign markets.

Apart from this, 956 units of Kia Sonet, 814 units of Kia Carens, 802 units of Maruti Alto, 669 units of Maruti Grand Vitara, 645 units of Hyundai i20, 608 units of Hyundai Creta, 586 units of Nissan Sunny, 501 units of Mahindra XUV 3XO, 468 units of Citroen C3, 440 units of Hyundai Alcazar, 377 units of VW Virtus, 359 units of Honda City, 343 units of Hyundai Exeter and 309 units of Honda Elevate have been exported.
