Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the New Generation Hilux in the Indian auto market. The ex-showroom price of this popular pickup truck has been kept at Rs 31.99 lakh. The new generation model has fresh design, premium interior and many modern features. The company has also introduced 4×2 variant for the first time, making it more attractive for urban buyers. The old Hilux was available only in 4×4, but now the GX 4×2 AT can be bought for Rs 31.99 lakh, the GX 4×4 for Rs 33.69 lakh and the top-spec VX 4×4 AT for Rs 36.69 lakh.
Its booking has started from 28th July and delivery will start from the second week of August. The double cab body style and IMV ladder-frame platform has been retained. design details
The front fascia of the new generation Hilux has been completely changed. Slim LED headlamps, large grille with honeycomb pattern, bold TOYOTA lettering and new bumper with silver skid plate have given it a more aggressive and modern look. At the rear, the look is further enhanced with LED tail lamp and new alloy wheels. The overall profile remains strong and rugged.
Interior and Features
The cabin has a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a new three-spoke steering wheel. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, 8-speaker audio system, electrically powered ventilated front seats, PM 2.5 air filter, 360-degree camera, cruise control, Toyota i-Connect and Eco, Normal, Sport drive modes are provided. Soft-touch materials and metallic accents make the cabin feel premium.

The company will sell it with safety features like 7 airbags, vehicle stability control, ABS, TPMS, front-rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
Engine, Performance and Mileage
Its 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine produces 204 hp power and 500 Nm torque. It comes only with 6-speed automatic gearbox. Both 4×2 and 4×4 options are available. The 80-litre fuel tank and strong off-road capability remains intact. Official mileage figures have not come yet.
