The new Sierra EV will have retro-modern design, range up to 500Km, AWD technology, triple screen setup and many premium features. Tata Motors has confirmed the launch of the electric version of its popular car Sierra in the second half of FY2026-27 (festive season). This mid-size electric SUV will be built on the company's Acti.EV platform and will be positioned above the Nexon EV, Curvv EV and below the Harrier EV. The estimated price can be kept between ₹ 20-25 lakh (ex-showroom), which will make it a strong contender against competitors like Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6.

The Sierra EV will feature the original classic Sierra design with a modern touch. Its highlights will be the closed-off grille, smooth bumper, connected LED headlights and taillights, blacked-out A and C-pillars and the iconic wraparound rear glass. This will give a retro-modern look, which will be remembered as soon as you see it. The large R19 alloy wheels and bold proportions will make it commanding on the road. It will be attractive with an EV-specific front end, slightly different from the ICE version.

Cabin and Comfort

The interior is expected to get a triple-screen layout (10.25-inch driver display, 12.3-inch infotainment and passenger screen). Panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, wireless charger, 360-degree camera, head-up display, ambient lighting, powered tailgate and JBL's 12-speaker sound system with Dolby Atmos will provide a premium experience. Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and 5G connected car technology will also be included.

Features and safety

It is expected to have Level 2 ADAS, advanced safety features with ESP, 6 airbags and strong body structure. Like Tata's EV lineup, it can also achieve high safety rating.

Battery, Motor and Range

It can be purchased with two battery pack options – 55 kWh (like Curvv EV) and 65 kWh (like Harrier EV). Some reports mention up to 75 kWh. Both RWD and AWD (dual-motor) variants will be available. Power is likely to range from 166 HP to 238 HP and ARAI claimed range of up to 500 km. DC fast charging allows 20-80% charge in just 25 minutes.

Maruti Suzuki is preparing a facelift version of its popular compact SUV Brezza, which is expected to be launched by the end of 2026. Recently, its testing mule has been spotted on Indian roads with highly camouflage, the biggest reveal of which is the underbody CNG tank. This change will significantly increase the boot space as compared to the existing model, as the tank will now be placed below instead of the traditional tailgate-mounted CNG cylinder.

This update will make the Brezza more attractive to CNG buyers, especially those families who want practicality along with long drives. New LED taillights, fresh alloy wheels and revised bumpers are also seen in the spy shots. Overall, with the stylish updates, better features and CNG facility in the facelift, Brezza will strengthen its hold in the market. Let us know what is going to change in this?

Design Updates

The overall silhouette of the Brezza facelift will remain the same, but there will be changes in the front and rear. Existing features like ABS, ESP, hill hold, 360-degree camera will remain intact. Improvement in underbody shielding will also increase the safety of the CNG version.

Engine, Mileage and Powertrain

The Brezza facelift is likely to continue with the 1.5-litre K15C NA petrol engine, which produces around 99-103 hp power and 137 Nm torque. A CNG version will also be available, which may improve performance with an underbody tank. Some reports also discuss a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine or hybrid setup. However, there has been no official confirmation. There will be 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options.

In terms of mileage, a figure of around 17-20 kmpl in petrol and 25 km/kg in CNG is expected, which will be competitive in the segment. With Maruti's reliability and low maintenance costs, the new Brezza family will become a strong contender as an SUV. Its starting ex-showroom price is going to be less than ₹ 8.50 lakh.

Hyundai is working on the third generation (codenamed SX3) of its popular mid-size SUV Creta, which is expected to be launched in late 2026 or early 2027. Recently, its spy shots have surfaced from California, in which the new dashboard, Pleos Connect infotainment system and many other major changes are visible. With these updates, Creta will not only be ahead in technology but will also maintain its dominance in the segment in terms of design, performance and features.

The Pleos Connect system is part of Hyundai's Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) platform. This will prepare the Creta for the future, where the engine, suspension and features can also be upgraded through OTA updates. This system is likely to come first in the new Creta in India. Design and interior
