Bolero never pretends to be something it is not. At a time when most SUVs lean towards soft-touch plastics and LED signatures, the Mahindra Bolero still wears its utility badge with pride. This is the kind of vehicle that doesn't care about being Instagrammable, it's built to work, tow, and tackle the road surfaces that plague urban SUVs. For 2025, Mahindra has updated the lineup with a new top-spec B8 trim, expanding the range to four variants: B4, B6, B6(O) and B8.

All variants are powered by the same 1.5-litre mHawk75 diesel engine that produces 75 bhp at 3,600 rpm and 210 Nm between 1,600-2,200 rpm. A 5-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel-drive are standard. At 3,995 mm length and 2,680 mm wheelbase, it stays within the sub-4 meter bracket, but still manages to seat seven in a 5+2 layout. The 215/75 R15 tires and leaf spring rear suspension underline that this vehicle has always stood for durability more than aesthetics.

Common equipment across all variants

Despite its strong position, Mahindra has ensured that all variants get the essential safety tech including ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, reverse parking sensors, engine immobilizer and seat-belt reminder. A digital driver information cluster with Mahindra's micro-hybrid start/stop system is also standard to aid fuel efficiency.

Mahindra Bolero: B4

at cost Priced at Rs 7.99 lakh, the B4 variant stays in line with the Bolero's strong DNA without trying to look polished. It features a simple black grille, open steel wheels without caps and fog lamps to keep the cost under control. Inside, it's fitted with vinyl seat upholstery, manual air conditioning and essential functions like power steering and flip key.

Mahindra has retained the rideflow ride and handling setup and a basic digital instrument cluster, but apart from that, the cabin has been kept deliberately simple. This version is clearly targeted at buyers who prioritize longevity, easy maintenance and low acquisition costs, particularly fleet operators and rural users who value mechanical simplicity over creature comforts.

Mahindra Bolero: B6

But Priced at Rs 8.69 lakh, the B6 variant starts to skew the utilitarian requirement enough to make everyday motoring more convenient. It adds chrome detailing on the grille and wheel caps to provide a little more presence on the road. There are power windows and a central locking feature as well as a remote-key function which provides an extra dimension of convenience that the B4 doesn't have.

The 17.8 cm touchscreen infotainment display with steering-mounted controls makes the cabin more usable for individual owners, and the switch from vinyl to fabric seats improves comfort for long drives. USB Type-C charging, a 12V socket, bottle holder and map pocket add practical utility, making this variant a better fit for those who intend to drive the Bolero themselves rather than just deploying it as a fleet vehicle.

A rear wash-and-wiper setup is also included, which may seem like a small addition but makes a noticeable difference when dealing with dusty highways or monsoon use.

The interior is very similar to the B6, retaining the touchscreen, storage pockets and fabric upholstery. For buyers who frequently travel in low visibility conditions or on semi-urban routes, this trim offers a sensible middle ground without increasing the cost of the top-spec version.

Mahindra Bolero: B8

sitting on ₹ 9.69 lakh, the B8 variant is the most complete and lifestyle-ready version of the Bolero Classic. It gets a chrome-enhanced grille, factory-fitted fog lamps and diamond-cut alloy wheels that ultimately give the SUV a slightly ambitious look. Mahindra has also introduced a new Stealth Black paint shade exclusively for this trim along with Diamond White, Rocky Beige and DSAT Silver.

On the inside, leatherette upholstery replaces fabric seats, giving a more premium feel, while all the convenience features like power windows, central locking, touchscreen infotainment, digital cluster and USB charging port remain standard. It also carries forward visibility enhancements and rear wash-wipe functionality, making it the most ownership-friendly Bolero for private buyers who still want strength but don't want to compromise on basic features.

Prices for the new Bolero start at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Bolero Neo starts at Rs 8.49 lakh.

The top variant gets fog lamps, diamond-cut alloy wheels, touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls and USB Type-C charging ports. The seats have been reshaped for better support, and higher trims get leatherette upholstery. The new Rideflow suspension system now provides greater comfort and stability. The engine is the same 1.5-litre mHawk75 diesel, producing 75 bhp power and 210 Nm torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Bolero Neo also gets a new front grille, 16-inch dark gray alloy wheels and dual-tone paint like Jeans Blue and Concrete Grey. Neo has a 1.5-litre mHawk100 diesel engine, which produces 100 bhp and 260 Nm torque.

New Delhi. Mahindra's best -selling SUV – Bolero – is ready to come up with a new generation in 2026. The testing of the new Mahindra Bolero is going on, and its design has been found in the recently revealed spy images. The seen prototype was in heavy calamophalase, but it included boxer and more straight stance, newly designed grills which include vertical slots, new circular LED headlamps which include DRILs integrated and chlamyshell bonnet.

Square wheel arc, body cladding, new dual-tone alloy wheels and small overhangs are seen in the side profile. A big upgrade will be made in its underpinning, 2026 Mahindra Bolero Mahindra's new 'Freedom NU' can start Flexible platform, which will be launched on 15 August 2025.

Mahindra Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic have been fetching 17,000 bookings every month, beating other SUVs from the brand.

The homegrown auto manufacturer currently has 1.19 lakh open bookings for both the Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic SUVs. The second most popular SUV from the automaker is the Mahindra Thar, which claims to be receiving about 10,000 bookings every month. The true blue off-roader that comes available in both hard-top and soft-top variants currently has 76,000 open bookings across India.

Mahindra Bolero range and XUV700 range are at the same level when it comes to receiving bookings. Both the XUV700 flagship SUV and the Bolero models have been receiving about 9,000 bookings every month. The XUV700 currently has 70,000 open bookings across India. The Mahindra Bolero and Bolero Neo combined have been fetching about 9,000 bookings every month and currently have 11,000 open bookings.

Mahindra XUV300 and its pure electric sibling XUV400, together have been receiving about 6,000 bookings every month, claimed the automaker. Combined, these two compact SUVs currently have 10,000 open bookings across the country. The SUV specialist auto manufacturer also said that it currently has about 2.86 open bookings across the country.

Demands for the SUVs have been rising in India rapidly, keeping pace with the rest of the global markets. Encouraged by this, every automaker has been launching new products in the segment and Mahindra too is no different. The carmaker has launched a couple of new models over the one year that have received pretty good responses from buyers.
